I am trying to figure out the logistics of when baby is born will be... I know that I want it to be a private moment when baby arrives that it is just me and my husband in the room. I've heard from many friends that the moment is just so special between the three of you. Problem is I know family is going to want to be there, and I don't know how long it will take me... Should they be allowed into the room during the hours of labor and then shooed out when the big moment is about to arrive? Am I going to want to deal with people while I'm in labor?? (Planning on lasting as long as I can without an epidural and then if it becomes too much I'll go for the drugs lol)
I already know I'm going to have a huge issue with this with my MIL. All she talks about is how she had the baby and everyone was there, her friends brought in pizza and all sorts of things and it was a big party in the room - which is great that she enjoyed it, but not really my cup of tea. Or how she is just so entranced by the birthing process and can't wait to watch it :-/ We've already had an argument about Sophie the giraffe (it's a freaking giraffe!!) so I'm trying to figure out the best way to lay this out gently --- she aint gonna be there!
Any advice / what is everyone else's birthing plans looking like??
Re: Birthing Plans - will it just be you and your significant other in the room?
Hope that helps.
