Big kids in school? What's on your to-do list for the next few weeks?

My son started kindergarten today so I'm home alone until baby comes! I've been a little weepy missing my son today, it's a big deal I guess!

I've always worked and either had my son with me or with my mother ever since he was born so I don't know exactly what to do with myself! Baby won't be here for about three more weeks or so.

I know we all have weekly appointments or more,and maybe some last minute nursery stuff to complete. Today I'm running errands, doing laundry, and having lunch with my husband to distract myself from thinking about DS1 all day. What is on your list? Anyone else send off a kindergartener today? Anyone else weeping over it? :((

    Gah I'm such a basket case lately!! I've been so even keel this whole pregnancy and now this week I'm a mess! Hahah gee whiz.

    Well, sending your son off to kindergarten when your hormones are everywhere will do that.  I will be losing the kids I nanny after this week and as much as I am anxious for them to be gone, I know I will miss them and probably be weepy about it. I am also starting some homeschool activities with my daughter next week and I just feel down to the wire trying to get everything ready for that.

    My son started kindergarten two weeks ago im just trying to get all the rest i can before baby gets here also been doing some last minute nursery decorations but for the most part just enjoying myself while it lasts lol

    My 7th grader and two 5th graders start Thursday so I'm busy squeezing the last drops out of summer vacation and getting them ready for school. We're finishing off summer reading projects, shoe shopping etc. soccer practice starts tomorrow night for my oldest so we're definitely keeping busy.

    This is our fourth week of homeschool. On lunch break at the moment. Toddler is going down for nap. One daughter is finishing grammar, another doing math on my laptop.

    I just sliced up some bell peppers to freeze to use later, going to make banana bread with some overripe bananas and start some bread dough for sandwiches and maybe pizza for dinner. Tonight I'll be finishing the bathroom trim that I'm painting.

    I had to sit and take a breather, ha! I get super breathless working in the kitchen. Wish I was outside today. It's glorious out!!!

    DD1 starts 1st grade on Sept 9th and I'm due on the 10th. DD2 is in preschool full time 4 days a week. I'm trying to clean and organize my house as much as I can, ordering school stuff online and resting when I need to. I wish DD1 was still in camp (ended last week) as I find it so hard to get anything done with the kids around. I'd like to just enjoy maternity leave for a minute before baby comes, but I know that won't happen. Online shopping is a good stress reliever, especially with Amazon prime who delivers in 2 days!
