Baby shower Registry

Hi ladies! Hope everyone is enjoying their pregnancy :)

I am so happy and grateful to be thrown a baby shower by my grandmother in law and step mom in law,
especially after not knowing I would even get one.

I worked very hard on my registry (which is not even that long and ranges in price) and I feel like its really what me and my hubby want. 

So I heard planning is under way, but nobody has asked for my opinion or my registry :/

Should I push myself into the planning and introduce my registry (which sounds a lil rude to me) or be happy with what they plan and what people give me?

Keep in mind, my grandma in law is planning this so she is very old school :)

    Hmm I'm I would mention it. No point in getting 3 of the same things. Just keep in mind that back in the day registries were seen as bad etiquette so your GIL might have that thought of mind. It can't hurt to mention it though.

    Registries are important because people really want to give you what you want and need. They maybe waiting until they do invites or something like that. I would mention it casually. Something like "hubby and I are so grateful you're throwing a shower for us! We are so excited and going to register at *insert store here* was so fun. Is there anything we can help with for the shower?" I think mentioning it casually and with gratitude should be well received by old school grandma :). Another thought is to ask your husband to mention it to them. If I feel awkward about something with my in laws I ask my husband to talk to them usually. Good luck!!!!

    If I don't see info on your registry but you're having a shower I would google it. I've never needed to ask...there are only 4-6 popular places, I've always found the registry in less than 10 minutes.

    Maybe ask the hosts if they would like the registry info in case anyone asks for it.
