Baby Name Tinder App!

So there have been lots of discussions about baby names lately and difficulties finding a name. My sister in law told me about this app that is basically tinder but for baby names. Both you are your partner download the app and you each swipe left or right on names you like or hate, if you have a match it compiles a list for you. It's called Babyname and it is a yellow box with an egg in the middle. My husband and I have been playing with it, no matches of course, but I thought it would be at least entertaining for everyone to share :))

    Hahaha there are more ones that I have liked after using it for a little bit. Had to get through some interesting ones for a while though lol

    I don't know if this is happening to you guys too, but I downloaded that app about two weeks ago and 1) it kept giving me the same names even if I had swiped left and 2) the app kept quitting and saying there was a problem.  Maybe it has been fixed and I should try to download it again (android).  It's such a great concept to help find names!

    I was thinking the same thing. Also, I live in an area with a large Hispanic population. Jesus is pretty common. I also know someone with the name Asa. Not too out there.

    Yep swipe left If you don't like it and right if you do. Even if you already picked names it's just fun! I agree @bookqueen

    The reviews for the app say it crashes all the time. Darn, I think it sounds fun!

    Everytime I swipe to the right, it pops up that there's a server error. Is this happening to anyone else? Not sure if it saved my likes.

    Sorry ladies, if this is a bummer of an app. I downloaded it last night and thought it was fun. I haven't had any trouble yet though.

    Same, it's still fun to do plus I was having a hard time finding a cool name app.
    We have our boy name.. (Shh don't tell anyone) just worried h's co worker will use it.

    eta again - I actually read this name as "Riss" until someone explained that it is the same as Reece.  OP might think the same thing.

    It's actually the original way to spell Reece. Rhys is Welsh and pretty common.

    Sigh, maybe next time. This baby's name is already locked down. Lol

    Sounds like an awesome app though, as long as the names are legit. And not "you-neek."

    I was so excited to try this with DH, as we've been stuck on the same short list of names that neither of us can agree on... and we got the same names as matches in the app lol. Six names neither of us is in love with. Still waiting for that ah-ha! moment where we find the perfect name, but this was fun! Thanks for sharing, OP.

    Thanks for sharing OP. DH and I tried this last night. I have an iPhone and he has an android. The app worked for me but only allowed DH to swipe left. If he tried to swipe right he would get a network error and the app would crash. This would probably work best if both parents had an iPhone as from my experience the android app was just glitchy.

    I have iPhone and h has android and it worked for us. Maybe it was just a glitch

    @wisco29 that is so weird. DH deleted it and downloaded it several times with the same issue and then read app reviews where people said they had similar issues. Maybe it's just incompatible with his phone or version of android. I'll have to let him know people with android were able to use the app. Thanks for the info!

    Most of these names are just NMS. I'm still going to play around with it. H hasn't downloaded it yet, so we'll see if we ever get any matches...

    We both have androids, but you are right it might just be his version. Also I didn't know Rhys was pronounced like Reece. I love Reese though <3 Family name.

    I still get the right swipe server error (we both have iphones) but it still works. We have 2 matches so far! Of course they were both names already on our list but still fun. Hoping to come up with a few more ideas. Thanks for sharing this OP!
