So I just had my 4 mo Dr appt for the twins on Friday. I was disappointed/surprised how it went so I thought I'd share in case any of you encounter similar experiences. First, the vaccines went WAY worse for us than the 2 mo ones. I think it was because they are a lot more alert now & also way louder!!! To be honest, it was fairly brutal. Mama needed (but didn't get) a big margarita after that lol.
Second, I filled out a questionnaire on the 4 month milestones ahead of time and the Dr scored it during the visit and we were given a letter grade for several different growth categories like social/behavioral, hand/eye coordination. She did not test them for these things, though! Just relied on my answers! I was very surprised and disappointed in this. What if my interpretation of how well they are doing it isn't the same as the general medical community? Seriously bummed. We have Kaiser HMO insurance so I doubt switching peds would help as I bet they do it all the same hands-off way.
I hope you all have better luck than I did!

Sorry you didn't like the vaccines.
