Groin pain

Is anyone else experiencing groin/pelvic pain? For the last couple days I've had pressure and discomfort in mostly my left groin and lower abdominal area. It feels like pinching and tense stretches. Nothing seems to relieve it. Is this normal sounding?

  • How far are you @katiegaribay ? I will be 22wks tomorrow and I've been constantly experiencing a lot of that pain. It feels like I sprained my vagina. Lol (For real tho..) It wasn't so bad before but this past week has gotten rather uncomfortable. I'm planning to ask my doctor about it next month.

  • @Baby3oo I am 22 weeks and 3 days. So maybe that's it's. It's like a weird feeling of constipation but not being constipated. I've had round ligament pain and that only seems to last for a few seconds or minutes @cMichelle0423 , this is lasting all day long, constant.
  • I had constant RLP (even when resting) in my lower abdomen for about 48 hours during week 24. I think it was a growth spurt as my bump increased in size during that time.
    I wasn't concerned enough to contact my midwife, but I tried to rest and drink lots of water.
    If this pain doesn't pass within a few days it couldn't hurt to contact your doc. It's better to play it safe if you're concerned about it.
  • I had this for a few days around 17 or 18 weeks. I chalked it up to round ligament pain and now thankfully it's gone. I've had the severe someone just snapped a rubberband in my pelvis RLP, and this is definite different less intense but constant like a muscle strain or sprain, but I think it's still RLP. I'm sure it will pass!
  • Yeah, it sounds like round ligament pain. I've been experiencing this most days since 6 weeks pregnant. If it becomes unbearable or is accompanied by bleeding, call your Dr. Best wishes :) 
  • Thank you, today is has improved. Still there but not as bad. Definitely appears to be round ligament pain.
  • Is it pubic bone pain? Or something else? I've had severe pubic bone pain and that's something else. My doc gave me stretches to do that help tremendously but I have to do them constantly. It gets worse the more I stand or walk around.
