Hole in placenta?

I have been searching online and havent found anything, but today at my ultrasound the tech told me, there is a hole in my placenta. She didnt seem concerned about it, and said if there was any bleeding to go to the er. Im just wondering what that means exactly, and if anyone else has heard of this or has experienced this. Im just entering 19 weeks. They have me schuduled for a fallow up ultrasound in 2 weeks.

    Did you not ask your tech any questions after getting that info? I'm not by any means trying to sound rude, but this sounds like something you should have talked to the tech or your dr about, and not relied on the Internet for answers. Good luck.
