Baby book!

I got a baby book today and started filling out all the stuff I could, it made me so happy ☺️ I was crying and laughing at all the stuff me and my fiancé have been through already. So many memories made in the past seven and a half months, and the best is yet to come! It might not have all been easy but way to go to all of us! Has anyone else started there book yet?

Re: Baby book!

  • I still need to get mine, I actually need to print pictures for my last 3 kids still! But it is fun to look back on them and see how each of my children hit different milestones :)

  • I plan to use an app - I've heard good things about the Chicco Baby Book one.
    Me: 28, DH: 40
    Married 9/28/13
    DS born 11/12/15
    EDD 8/13/18
  • We were given a first year undated calender for our daughter that had stickers for a bunch of "firsts". This was way easier to keep updated. Actually I'm currently referring back to the calender to fill in my daughter's baby book (she is 21 months old). My baby book started when she was born and goes to age 5. I already ordered the calender for baby #2. I didn't have the baby book to start with my daughter due to being team green and same this time. I'll fill out the calendar and get the baby book around Christmas time.
  • Just bought my Mushybook! It's a pretty cool, modern-looking baby book with bold colors and nice fonts. I'm not a fan of gender-specific, cheesy graphics so this was perfect.
  • My stepmom got us one a few months ago. It's adorable and matches the nursery theme. I started filling out the stuff I could, as I wasn't even going to do one but got talked into it. I'm glad I did. My baby shower is today so I'll soon have pictures and a list to add to it. I found the one my mom did for me, and even though she didn't finish it completely it's still cool to read her experiences and thoughts. I even found two baby pictures of me in it. I've only ever seen a couple.
  • My brother-in-law's wife (I never know what to call her...  Is she technically my sister-in-law, or is there a proper name?) bought me the Parenthood Listography book and gifted it to me for my birthday this year.  I haven't gotten a chance to really go through it cover-to-cover, but it's pretty neat. :)
  • That is such a great tip to bring the baby book!  I hope my nurses are as kind as yours :-)
  • I was thinking about one but I'm afraid that I will forget about it and as cute of an idea as it is I don't want to forget something that will be so memorable for me and my little guy..

Yes! The calendar is such a great idea! I did this with my first and it was such a great way to keep track of milestones. Every week or so I'd write a few words on the calendar. It was far less overwhelming that trying to fill out an entire book, and when he was a little older and I had more time I could go back and fill out the book and know exactly when everything happened.

I already started a calendar for my baby girl and have marked down pregnancy milestones such as first kicks. Some days I write longer things like how/when we found out we were pregnant.
  • I just ordered my baby book on Etsy. I love it, and all of the reviews seem great. I originally wanted the Emily Ley baby book but decided to check Etsy first and I'm so glad I did. Can't wait until it gets here to start filling stuff out.
