Vasectomy Thank You gift for DH?

We are 100% done having kids. We were on the fence b/t having one or two children, and got pregnant unexpectedly, so we already have a "bonus baby", due in about a week. I offered to have a postpartum tubal in the hospital, but hubby would rather have the big V, even if I am already in the hospital. I want to give him a token of appreciation for getting the snip, but I'm not sure what would be a good idea. Any thoughts?

You've been through multiple pregnancies, labors, and deliveries. Sounds like you've already given him enough. Personally I think a thank you would suffice. And help him out with recovery. You're not the only one who benefits from this decision. That's just my opinion though. DH and I have talked about this and even he agrees that me having our children and him getting a vasectomy kinda evens out.

My husband offered to get a vasectomy. I'm pregnant with our fourth baby and we are done. Lol I'm not getting him anything special. He's the one that doesn't want a surprise baby because I will not get my tubes tied. So it works well that he offered.

I agree with the opinions of the other two, about having the children alone, as the best gift! Though, I'm currently 22 weeks 5 days along, and a FTM, I've told the SO I do NOT want him to go get the "Big V Word" done! And I don't want my tubes tied in the fiture, either. We're just going to have to try to be really careful/practice safe sex!

But seriously. The best gift you have given him, is the gift of beautiful, healthy children!

His recovery will likely be quick and relatively painless, no longer than say getting a tooth pulled. I'd say a few children and unprotected sex for the next couple decades is gift enough!! Maybe let him pick his favorite restaurant for a night out.

The gift is the end result of the vasectomy. ..no more babies. Recovering from delivering a baby is far worse than sore balls for a few days. Men aren't dogs they don't need a treat when they do something good.
