Shoe advice for work

I'm a teacher and I'm on my feet a lot but having been trying to sit. The only two shoes that feel comfortable are sketchers or crocs but they aren't very cute with work clothes. Any comfy shoe suggestions?

Re: Shoe advice for work

  • Sketchers had some work black shoes, no sneakers, that I wear my last pregnancy as I was on my feet a lot. They worked good and look like work shoes. They had some that were like ballet flats and some with a "kitten" heel. I'm sure they still sell them.

  • Toms worked great when I was teaching. I also wore chucks alot but those aren't always very supportive. Nice flat boots would be cute too.

I couldn't wear heels because if there was a fight or something I couldn't move fast enough in them lol.
  • Clarks! I'm a hairstylist, and I swear by them. Some styles are cute (wedges) while others can be scary.. So shop around and try them on!
  • I have these leather flats by Lucky Brand... They are so comfy and look so cute, perfect for work.
  • Dansko clogs. The last time I was in the ER I noticed EVERY Dr. and nurse wearing them. If they can handle an ER they can handle teaching! I plan on buying them for work this year.
  • I'm a nurse and I had a pair of Danskos. They are comfortable after breaking in but also expensive and easy to roll your ankle in. If you aren't worried about keeping bodily fluids out I wouldn't pay that much for them.

Clarks are nice and cushioned and probably will be easier to match with dress clothes!
