Wondering if I made the right decision

Obvioudly, we have a new baby, 3 weeks old. Well, my husbands cousin is getting married in Iowa and we live in Texas and my son is the ring bearer, but because of the drive with a brand new baby I decided not to go. I knew the drive would be miserable and I thought it wouldn't be a good idea to take a new baby to such a public event, but now I'm feeling badly and regretting not going. Did I make the wrong choice?

I don't think anyone can fault you for not going. I wouldn't want to be traveling that far with a 3 week old either. Obviously it's disappointing and not something you'd want to miss, but you'd be far more disappointed if going turned out really negative, which it honestly has a really good chance of doing.

I probably did make the right choice because the whole family is staying at his aunts house, that's 13 people and 5 dogs in one house. The sleeping arrangements would have been miserable and every 3 hours feedings all night long would have made for a really bad trip.
