Annoying cough - meds during early pregnancy?

Iv had this annoying cough for a few days now. Im on bed rest due to some spotting and im affraid that this cough might cause too much unwanted interfereance with my abs and stuff. I have to curl up during a cough to avoid this pulling sensation in my ovaries. Does anyone know of safe meds that can be taken so early on? Ill be 5 weeks this weekend.

    If you look in the bump resources, I think there is a section on cough medicine and that there is at least one that is okay.

    Ask you doctor. I know with DD after my first appt they give me a sheet of paper with meds that I could take while pregnant and what trimester it was ok to take them in. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

    I've had an annoying cough since conception and my Chinese Medicine doctor gave me some herbs which have made a real difference.
