Ideas for "vintage" or "classic" boy & girl names...

I'm looking for ideas for both boy and girl names that are kind of "vintage" or more on the classy/sophisticated side, if that makes any sense. I really like Alice, Hazel and Bridgette for a girl so far. And I'm not even sure where to start on boys names. So far we like Sterling and maybe Emmett. We're looking for names that are less common and a little more unique than the standard "Michael" of "John" and stuff like that, but not anything off the wall weird lol. Any thoughts? :)

    I love Alice and I like Bridgette but I like Bridget better. I'm not really a fan of either of the boys names you listed.

    My favorite "vintage" boys name is Gus...
    Not sure how other people feel about it. Full disclosure it's my GF's name and he was a wonderful man so that has something to do with it!

    My son has a tallulah in his two year old class and there's a little girl named Elizabeth but she goes by Birdie. You never hear that name anymore!

    We started with classic literature, and so a few names that came up from books are:
    Diana
    Marilla (we were dead serious. I love these books.)
    Georgiana


    For boys' names, you can go with less typical names like
    Albert (we just had a friend name their boy Albert, and they call him Bertie.Totally fits.)
    Byron
    Phineas (Have you read "A Separate Peace?" You'll grow to love this--"Finny.")
    Samuel

    The nice thing about these vintage names is that they don't fall into the trendy category, so you're likely not to get many repeats as baby enters school.
