Babymoon anyone?

Anyone else planning on doing a baby moon? If so..

When are you planning on taking it?

Where do you want to go?

When are you going to book it? (Wait til 12 weeks, or book it earlier?)

Or...have you done a babymoon with a previous child? If so, what would you recommend/not recommend?

We do a weekend anniversary trip each year, so we just took it early as DD wasn't even 2 mo for our anniversary. We just pick a city to drive to (so far) and go from there. I think I would have been about 34 weeks. Many doctors say no more than 2 hours away after 34-36 weeks, plus the uncomfortable tends to re-start by then, so look out for that. We probably won't do anything big for this baby because we'll probably do a bigger trip for our 5 year sometime next fall/winter.

I'm waiting to book anything until after our first appointment at the beginning of September, but I'm hoping for a babymoon to Malaysia in November! From what I read, second trimester is the best time for traveling, so that sounded like a perfect time to me!

We have a trip already scheduled for mid-October that is a bit early to be a baby-moon (just at the end of first tri), but it has turned into one! (We weren't planning on being pregnant this soon. Oops! :-*)

I tried to do one with my first. but it backfired when my husband tried to get points from his parents for our hotel and somehow they ended up coming along. Also, I couldn't drink. So boo.

We have two trips coming up, but they were scheduled before I got KU. DH promised me a vacay every year that I didn't get PG, so when AF arrived for the maybe 14th straight time a couple of months ago, our repeat Maui trip was booked. I cannot not be more excited to spend 11 fabulous nights in our home away from home, even if I can't drink, snuba or ride a scooter. And this is less than 40 days away...

Also, DH's family trip to Cabo for Thanksgiving. The last time the fam went to Cabo together, I was 16 wks PG with DS, about 5 years ago. So this will be my second trip to Cabo PG, and my MIL is joking now that all she needs to do is book a trip to Cabo and I will get KU. Should have booked a trip 2 years ago, MIL!!!!

Anyway, babymoon away!! IMHO, now is the time to get away, before you have an infant.

With DD we didn't do a babymoon. We did go to the lake a few hours away but it was with the IL so I wouldn't call it a babymoon. Idk if we're gonna do it this time. More than likely not because nobody will watch DD overnight yet and taking her would not feel like a babymoon lol

We didn't go on a babymoon before DS but this time I definitely want to get away before we have another little one

I'm not sure where we are going yet but I was thinking January ...is that too late ??? And somewhere warm maybe Mexico ?

Fiance has never been on a real vacation so it should be fun and my mother is letting us use extra time share time a huge money saver yay !! Excited

We are going to Hawaii and I will be about 32/33 weeks pregnant. Kinda far, but we had the trip planned before I got knocked up!

I'm pushing for an weekend away to somewhere tropical, probably around 17 weeks (our anniversary).
Aruba is my top choice! We went for our honeymoon and I'd love to back for our babymoon.

We just moved out east and will only be here a year. Before becoming pregnant we wanted to hit up Boston in the fall, NYC around Christmas time, and DC in the springtime for Cherry blossoms. I think we can still get the first two but springtime may be tricky now

I guess those will our baby moons,
