I am planning to go back to work in December and let my husband take the remainder of my parental leave. Originally I was planning to stop breastfeeding after 6 months, but I've enjoyed it so much I can't bare to stop. Especially having to go back to work I will crave to still have a strong bond with DS (also I like when the in-laws are getting to grabby with him I can just claim he needs to eat and take him away). I've read a little bit on fenugreek to increase milk supply and was wondering if anyone has done this in order to build up a big storage of milk to keep in the freezer? Also what was your experience like taking this?
Re: Fenugreek to build up milk supply
If you want to keep BFing when you go back to work I think pumping at work is your best bet.
Coconut water
More Milk Plus Drops
Oatmeal/flaxseed in smoothies
Power Pumping
I'm an exclusive pumper and when I was 2 weeks pp I was only getting 11oz/day and had to supplement with formula. Now at 12 weeks pp, I pump 6x and get over 40oz/day and usually freeze 10-12oz and has been this way for nearly a month.
Good luck!
