  My first week after delivery I was definitely engorged! Sometimes my armpit would be swollen. I would take warm showers and let the water hit my armpit for a minute and then massage the area as well. It definitely helped! Also consistent pumping and breast feeding saved me from the swelling
  Hopefully there's no infection or clogged duct!

  It's possible to have breast tissue that's in your arm pits so that could be giving you pain: discomfort. I had a lump on one side removed a few years ago that would become sensitive and painful right before night my period.

  I have an inflamed lymph node that used to become sensitive right before/on my period. It just looks like a fatty lump. I actually had it ultrasounded in college just to be sure it wasn't something dangerous. Turns out it was just reacting to hormones. Now that I'm pregnant it has been enlarged and sensitive since late in my first trimester. My sister had the same thing but on the opposite side. I'm still pregnant (40 weeks today) and not BF yet, but plan to. Hoping it won't interfere with that at all.

  Warm flannel under the armpit while you feed try massage if u can whilst lo feeds if you can also massage in bath
