False labor?

Im a FTM and 40w today, I had a dr. Appt this morning and was 2cm and 90%. I lost my mucus plug and had bloody show today around 2:30pm. At first i was experiencing mild period like cramps occurring pretty regularly, but manageable. Since 7pm i have been experiencing more severe pains in my uterus every 9 mins, lasting 30 secs-1 min each.
My question is, do you think I should try to hold out until tomorrow to see if the contractions continue before going to the hospital? I just don't want to go and be turned away for false labor.

You should wait til your contractions are closer together..

This is how my labor started. I would wait until your contractions are about 5 minutes apart or so.

I would recommend trying to get some sleep and see if they get closer together. If they get so bad you can't sleep, I'd give your doc a call n see if they want u to go in! Best wishes!

Sounds a lot like the way my labor started. My contractions were roughly 5 minutes apart when I went in and was still barely dialated. I couldn't rest because of the discomfort so they gave me a little something to knock off the edge. Thankfully they didn't send me home, but if I was to do it over I'd probably try to stay home a little longer.
