Hot tubs and pregnancy

i never get the opportunity to sit in a hot tub, however we were on vacation and I soaked it in. It wasn't til several weeks later that I found out we were pregnant. I have been super scared ever since. I know hot tubing is bad because it raises your body temperature so I'm wondering if anyone has done this with another pregnancy and how did everything go? I'm scared

Well you didn't know you were pregnant so I dont think you should beat yourself up about it. The odds are very much in your favor that everything is fine. There are lots of things that people do prior to knowing they are pregnant, many of which are worse than sitting in a hot tub, and the babies come out just fine. Are you doing any first trimester testing? That may help out your mind at ease.

You are totally fine, just stay out of the hot tub now and all will be fine. Heck! I drank like a fish over 4th of July and had a glass of wine about every other night up until the week before I found out I was KU...I was 8 weeks along when I figured it out.. I'm not worried.

Unless you're soaking in some seriously scalding water I wouldn't worry too much. I think most of the warnings are against jacuzzis and saunas that tend to hold a constant, and hotter temperature than your household tub (which will naturally cool the water over time).
