New to the board

hi,
I have been lurking a long time, but I thought it's finally time to introduce myself because of some news I had today. I am having twins January 20, although I'm sure they'll come early. That's why I've been lurking multiples=high risk. But today I had a urine test and it had +4 protein count, which the nurse said was the most it could be. Have to do a 24 hour urine test now because they think it's preeclampsia. Wish me luck! I'm sure I'll be frequenting the board more often. I'm only 18 weeks, and I'd love to hear from someone who had preeclampsia so early. Searched the boards and didn't find a ton, so I thought I'd include it in my intro.

    I'm sorry that you have to be here...but welcome! My MIL had it pretty bad, she was put on medication, then they added bed rest, then hospital bed rest on and off. She's notorious for not following doctor's orders even now, so just try to do what they advise. Her and her baby were fine, I'm sure it was stressful, though.

    Of course! Worrying is normal, but speaking from experience and reading lots of posts whatever our doctors/us get all worked up about usually turns out to be nothing.
