Saw my OBGYN Tuesday and he said the more pregnancies you have the earlier they come. They started right about this time last pregnancy. Bah. Nothing I can do. Overdoing it with my walking seems to trigger them. urgh. I just walked around Target today. That's it! I forgot how much of a PITA these are.

This is my first and I've been having them regularly too. (20 weeks). I work on my feet all day so I've been trying to find ways to sit down more. Good luck and sorry you're going through this too.

This is my first and I was really curious if anyone was having them already too! I'm almost 20 weeks but started having them earlier this week and wasn't really expecting them for at least a few more weeks. But I live in the desert and it's been over 110 for the last few days and it's almost impossible to stay completely hydrated especially working 12 hour nursing shifts on my feet a lot. Having to take more breaks than I'd like to, they aren't painful but I'm trying to use them to remind myself to hydrate and put my feet up. Any other advice from anyone who's been through this before?

This is my first but I started early having BH. It usually happens if I do too much or stand up too fast. I drink a lot of water naturally but read it helps.

I feel like I've had them a few times but I'm not sure. My stomach gets really tight and I get pains throughout my stomach that come and go... Is that what this is?

I had a follow up with my OB today and brought it up. She said she's ok with them happening infrequently but if they happen more than 5 times in an hour she wants me to come in to get checked.

@whitmathis - yes. Mine feel like a tightening. Dull, ache-y but nothing like a real contraction. Mostly annoying.

I started having BH right at 18 weeks. Didn't know what it was until my SO and I took our first prenatal class at the hospital that same evening. My stomach tends to get tight in the same area each time.

I'm 17 weeks also and I have been having then since last week 16 weeks they are a pain. I was told to drink water relax and not over do it. Yet I stand up to help my toddler and they start. Ugh. Hope it goes away.

My midwife said not to worry unless they are frequent and regular, and to take them as an indication that I need to slow down if they happen relatively often.

My midwife said that that if I get them, drink a liter of water and then take a warm bath. If it happens frequently, call your doctor:)

I get mine pretty frequently esp in the evenings.. I called my ob nurse this morning and was told as long as it's not painful and I'm not bleeding to not worry, but they still make me nervous. I have my a/s on wed so I am probably going to ask the dr to check me since we have travel plans coming up this weekend. I'm almost 19 weeks and they started at 15 for me.

Shew! I thought I was crazy! I've been having them for 2wks now (so started at 18 1/2 wks) but thought since this is my first pregnancy in 14yrs, maybe I forgot what they were like..lol
