so, curious to hear others experience. I will be induced at 39 weeks and after birth of my second child I will get my tubs tied. How was your experience getting your tubs tied? How long did it take to fully recover? How much help did you need taking care of your newborn and other child ?
I haven't had my *tubes* tied, but I would believe it's pretty much similar to if not less of a recover time of a C-section, which is roughly 8-12 weeks. I'd be getting help from someone for at least 2 full weeks after.

My LB is better than your LB.BrittanyDoesDerby 4 LYFE!
I had a planned c-section for my third and they tied my tubes while they were in there, so my recovery was the same as a csection. But if you just had tubes tied can't imagine it would be as long or difficult, but I'm not sure.

No, it's not for medical reasons I'm getting induced. I got induced with my first child, so I asked to be induced with my second since I live 45 mins away from the hospital! It's much easier on us to do it that way. In order for me to get induced I would of have started the process of dilating on my own though. Which I already have. I wanted to be induced because I feel better knowing I can some what preplan what I can do with my first child. But if I do go into labor before then it will be hectic.

You can still have a plan and not be induced you know. My second was a precipitous birth, start to finish was just over two hours. I was warned my labor would probably be fast again with my third, we live at least 30 min from our hospital more if there's traffic and I still chose to let baby come when he was ready. We had the bags packed, gas in the car, three different people with their cell phones at the ready in case we called and a back-up hospital in mind in case I went too fast. We left the house at 5:45 and DS2 was born at 6:45 I literally had two contractions in my L & D room everything moved that fast, but we made it and had I to do it all over I would have done the same. There are very real risks to induction and to just do it for no reason other than convenience makes absolutely zero sense to me.
To answer your question, my cousin-in-law just had her tubes tied. The procedure itself was hard because they couldn't fully get her numb, so they had to put her in a twilight sleep and she was unable to hold/nurse her son for a day. She said recovery was challenging but not horrible. Good luck!
Re: After birth
Why induced at 39 weeks? Medically necessary?
