It can be so overwhelming! Last time I went overdue by 10 days and I actually felt like I was letting everyone down by not having the baby yet. Like it was somehow my fault that I was keeping this special new person away from them.
Once she actually came although everyone was excited, I actually got my space and time with baby and appreciated when someone did visit or stop by.
Of course not! I'm so sorry that you feel overwhelmed, but I think it's perfectly normal to feel that way! I know everyone's just excited, but it is a lot to take in. The closer it is to time for baby to show up, it feels like I feel every single emotion! All the time!! LO is in the nicu stepdown right now, today is the 28th day. I don't like even talking to family because they want to know what the doctors are saying, and when is she coming home, do I miss my other girls, does DH get to come down!!!!! It's a barrage of questions that either 1) the answer is obvious or 2) I don't have an answer for.
Sorry I pressed post and it wouldn't let me edit.... Please don't feel bad for being overwhelmed! Soon your sweet little baby will be here and everything will feel calmer. Still stressful, but you'll have your LO in your arms and you can just breath!
I'm totally opposite right now. I'm the only one "excited", everyone else, including boyfriend is kind of in denial that it's so soon. They all are still in the mindset that they just found out and it can't be time.. Well you all found out 7 months ago.. So it's time.
