BRU Registry Frustration

So my baby shower is on Saturday morning. I was bored and decided to stalk my registries. 3 items that I really really wanted have suddenly disappeared from the list. No they have not been purchased. The item just says "N/A" and the link to it is inactive. I searched the BRU sight and they have no record of the items. Is as if they never existed. Not that it was ever a guarantee that I would get those items at the shower anyways but I guess now I know for sure. Ugh.

This happen to anyone else?

The items may have been discontinued. If you search them on the site you can always re-add them if they're still there

There is nothing. No trace of them. I even did a Google search. The one item I just saw on Monday so I'm surprised it disappeared without a trace two days later.

I can't stand BRU's registry and all of its hiccups lately. I have found though that their online chat is really helpful. I had 3 presents show up at my doorstep (shipped) and all of the messages as to who they were from were cut off. The online chat associate was able to retrieve all of the info I needed. I would recommend trying that route. How annoying!

I've had that happen with a few items. I had to re-add them in a different version. The pattern of the pack n play I registered for was discontinued so I just had to add a different one. It sure would be nice if BRU notifies you when an item was no longer available!!

Means discontinued. Hopefully you can find a similar style

I had several items go from na to back to purchasable and then back to na. If you have a savvy person they might find the item on amazon or something

I really loved my Amazon list and despised BRU. Amazon Moms had a better completion discount program (15% off) + the interface on Amazon was just so much easier to work with than BRU. I only kept that registry open for people who wanted to go in store to buy something because things like that kept happening with mine too! It's pretty frustrating when you don't want to stalk it out and spoil the surprise, but have to check up on it.

This happened to me, my mom purchased the monitor, it moved from available to purchased, then it never shipped and it moved back to available with a n/a next to it. I called and they said that the order was cancelled, when I asked why they said they didn't carry the item anymore but they still charged my mom for it. After fighting with them to refund her money, I looked at my registry after my shower to see what else we still needed and surprise there it was available to purchase again! So I called and had it reordered at the price my mom originally paid for it and they overnighted it for free. My mom was so embarrassed because she didn't have a big gift for me at my shower, but we were trying to locate another place to order it from so I was able to get what I wanted. I knew what she went through with BRU and I was ok with not opening a big gift from her. If you call them they are actually pretty good about helping you find something similar. Good luck!!

This keeps happening at Target for me. They discontinue patterns or colors, and it sucks because I'm really picky. Lol! That's what I get for listening to everyone who told me to 'wait and see what you get from your baby shower' aka nothing from my registry!!!!

This happened to me with a few of our items!! We were very specific with choosing an organic mattress and organic changing pad and BRU no longer sells that company because "they didn't have a good enough selling history BRU customers" so we had to go through the brand to purchase them or choose a different brand.
Babies R Us has been a pain in the ass with a few things

Oh don't even get me started with Target. Half my stuff there was sold out, out of stock, or online only. People told me that even at stores they would only find the "girl" version of what I wanted. From 50 items I'm down to like 36 because I have to keep deleting. I'm in the same boat. Everyone told me to wait. I'm 4 weeks away from baby and my registry has been nothing but an indication of what I'm NOT getting! LOL.

This is me!!!! Gah!!!!! I had so many complaints because my registry because it was either 'sold out in store, sold out online, discontinued, or online only' soooo frustrating.

Sorry about the frustration. It is pretty common for any registry because stores like to change up styles and prints and all that. I hope you can find a replacement you like just as well!
