Re: ***Ticker Change-Tuesday***

  • Week: 9-moving right along!

What's new with baby (size, development): Green Olive this week

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Nothing new, just waiting on a few upcoming appts.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Nothing yet!

GTKY: What was your childhood ambition and did you achieve it? I always wanted to be an elementary school teacher. I initially went to college with this goal in mind but changed my major along the way. I've spent the past 10 years working with adult learners but will be changing my career path when my DD starts elementary school. It's never too late!

  • Week: 9

What's new with baby (size, development): Growing limbs, no more tail. Just a little olive

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: nada

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: My nausea med seems to be hit and miss, so I'm gonna call the Dr's office and as k if there is something else I can take.

GTKY: What was your childhood ambition and did you achieve it? Hmm I wanted to be a vet, so nope. I do love animals and would love to help at a shelter but i would prolly bring them all home.

  • Week: 10

What's new with baby (size, development): organs developed and wiggling around in there!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Going through my sister and I's collective maternity clothes bins.  Think I just need 1 more pair of jeans (all the others are full panel and I'm not that big yet).

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:  Good grief, when will these boobs stop hurting?  DS manages to find some way to jam anelbow or knee in them every time we're playing together.

GTKY: What was your childhood ambition and did you achieve it?  To be an astronaut.  Since the space program is pretty much shut down I think that dream is dead :(

    Anniversary

  • Week: 11

What's new with baby (size, development): It's a fig!  mmmm......all I can think about now is a nice ripe blue cheese.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: um..still nothing

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:  Annoyed that I haven't been able to get an appointment to get blood work done for the cell free DNA test.  I was really hoping to find out the sex by now so that we could do a gender reveal with my SIL.   Plus, as an older mum, the genetic abnormality stuff is always at the back of my mind (but positive thinking!!!).
I know it's not a big deal but still...the woman only works twice a week. Really? How can I get that job?

GTKY: What was your childhood ambition and did you achieve it?  To become a beach bum.  I'm a failure.
  • Week: 11

What's new with baby: I think she/he is a lime this week?

Something new you are doing to get ready: nothing really. We are discussing the plans to move my older kids into different bedrooms so that this one can have a nursery but won't actually start all that until Oct.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I have my NT and NIPT appt tomorrow, very anxious.

GTKY: wow, I'm not even sure if I had a childhood dream, that's a long way back to try and remember for me ;)

Week: 10!! 1/4 of the way done!!

What's new with baby (size, development): size of a prune now!! Wiggling around and growing hair and nails!!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Trying to plan a time to tell my boss

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: my nose is so stuffy and full of snot that every morning it causes me to get sick. Yesterday I had a thyroid check up and I'm taking too much medicine (taking me from being hypo to hyper) so lowering my dose!! So happy it was high and not low like normal

GTKY: What was your childhood ambition and did you achieve it?
I wanted to be a elementary school teacher or just like my daddy (farmer) so in a way I did. I started college majoring in Ag Ed but I decided working with high school kids was not for me and changed to Crop and Soil Science. I work for a coop as an agronomist (farm consultant) so being like my daddy worked out.
  • Week: 10!!! Yay!!!

What's new with baby (size, development): The size of a prune now!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Nothing at all. We already have a spare bedroom. So obviously, that'll be the nursery. It doesn't need to be filled with baby stuff yet, I feel like 10 weeks is too early for me. But my mom can't wait to start garage saleing. Without a gender, it's kinda difficult to shop for much. So for now, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
We think we're ready to tell the world. We'll wait until my birthday on the 22nd. I'll be 11+4.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I'm WAY more excited about getting to week 10 than any other week. I have no idea why. I'm just REALLY excited to be at week 10!! The nausea is FINALLY starting to slowly recede. I can feel my appetite starting to come back. But I found out this weekend that if I don't eat every 2 hours, I'll throw up. So eating is becoming a chore 8 times a day! UGH! I can't wait to have those wonderful food cravings everyone talks about!

GTKY: What was your childhood ambition and did you achieve it?
I'm pretty sure I wanted to be an olympic gymnast. I didn't even come close! :)

  • @jstanton0822 oh yes! I think I wanted to be an Olympic Gymnast too! I can't wait for the summer games next year :)
  • 9 weeks! Size of a grape!
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: nothing other than trying to be more diligent with the budget.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: have been *so* sick. Tried the unisom+B6 and that made it worse. feeling like a big worthless failure bc everything is a giant mess and kids have been parked in front of TV. School starts tomorrow and I can't even fathom waking up as early as I need to and being able to function without puking. Driving makes me dizzy. So exhausted. Hate this stage of pregnancy! As much as we want this baby and are so grateful, I have to admit I hate the actual "being pregnant" part. Ready to skip to the end.
GTKY: What was your childhood ambition and did you achieve it? Haha! I wanted to have 6-12 kids! This is our (5th pregnancy) 4th baby, and we are DONE. Even if I won the lottery - nope. Also wanted to be a nurse, and I worked as a private orthopaedic surgeon's nurse/scrub tech until my first babe was born, so not exactly but close enough for me to be happy. Also how I met my husband.

And sometimes I hate admitting that, especially on a pregnancy board because it's a touchy subject.  I have experienced loss and I still dislike it.

  • Hey Tuesday ladies. I'm 8 weeks today with the wee raspberry - looking forward to 10 weeks too! Not sure why either... Husband will be back from work overseas so that may have something to do with it :)

Not doing anything new for bubs just yet!

Bit of a rant...in between nausea I get really hungry, need a big meal to fill me up then immediately after I feel satisfied but get the worst heart burn/indigestion, so uncomfortable!! Especially at nighttime :(

My childhood ambition was to be a female version of Indiana jones...not even close. I did zoology instead and work with penguins! Hardly archaeological but I'm happy as with how it worked out.

Happy Tuesday tick over everyone! Yay!
  • Oooo. Just found this. Hello Tuesday group!

Yesterday I was 10 weeks. Baby is the size of a prune and actually wiggling around. CRAZY! This feels like a big milestone because I had an MC at 10 weeks in April. Everything is feeling much better(Yikes the MS!!!) this time around.

I am trying daily to get moving! All I want to do is nap!!

I think I already ranted enough but wish my husband would be a little more understanding of my sudden inability to take care of EVERYTHING! ;)

My childhood ambition was to be in cirque du soleil! Does taking an aerial yoga class count? Otherwise, didn't get there....
