That's what I was told but when I called the dr he said oh that's normal for people who have had c sections. It's just your body getting rid of stuff we couldn't get out. As long as he is sure I'm not dying over here then we are all good.
I had three golf ball sized ones. I was told to worry about plum sized clots but I still called just so they knew... They didn't care.
Confession - I wasn't sure the first one was a clot and I called my husband into the bathroom and we fished it out of the toilet with a rubber cleaning glove. Yep...
Dear Gosh this app is awesome. I just passed one and before I totally freaked out I searched here. That thing looks like a piece of liver. Ugh! Just give me my body back. My lactation consultant told me my armpit swelling was from milk being stuck up there. Now this! Geeeez. I am woman; hear me roar!
My nurse specifically told me not to google PP issues and just call with questions to save myself a panic attack. It was the best advice ever. 3 weeks PP and even the tiny clots are gross!
Passed a golf ball sized one in my monster hospital pad/mesh undies 3 days after I got home. Hubby called the nurse due to my anemia post delivery and they said it was normal and to only call if it was bigger than a softball....... TERRIFYING!!!

I freaked out when I saw mine! I started crying because I googled it and I swore I was dying!

Hahaha me too!!!!! My husband left me 1 night at the hospital bc he was tired of the fold out bed. As soon as he left, I went to the bathroom and had a HUGE 1. I called him back and we both freaked out as I got checked by my nurse. Scared me half to death!
Am I the only one that hasn't passed a single clot? Not even a tiny one? Now I'm worried :-S
I haven't this go round, after my first two pregnancies I did, this time I've barely even bleed except the first few days... That can't be normal though?...
@toccoaparker Are you EBFing? I know that will shorten your bleeding, but a few days seems unusual! I'm EBFing and I'm almost 6 weeks PP and just stopped bleeding a couple days ago (but it was definitely off and on)
@toccoaparker how long PP are you?? I thought I only bled for a few days. I had minimal bleeding in the hospital, came home and it tapered off and was gone. I had 4-5 days of nothing and then BAM, gushes of blood and clots. I'm now 3.5 weeks out and it continues to be on and off like that. It's definitely messing with my brain.
@carleyec93 & @SassetteSmurfling I am now 17 days pp, I still bleed a little but not enough to fill up a med size pad in one whole day. I had stopped all heavy bleeding the day after leaving the hospital. I am BFing and pumping, but I think my supply is running out already. Hopefully I will be ok until next week when my dr gets back from his mission project with the church! :-??
I didn't have to! I birthed some the size of golf balls! Apparently that's normal. Ugh yuck! :-&
Same here. Scary.
Added note: not after I got home - the clots were immediately after baby came out. Along with LOTS of blood. I was so weak I could barely function. Plus the shaking! @-)
Re: PSA - blood clots
I was told golf ball or egg size is worth a call to the doctor. But yeah....
