cravings...and yes I'm PP!!!

Soo I thought once the baby was here cravings would stop, right?! Wrong...my craving for dark chocolate is maddening lol I seriously demolish a bag of dark chocolate chips (I try to be healthy and put them in Greek yogurt or mix with granola for a snack) in no time at all. My husband is amazed. Idk if EBF has anything to do with it or what but it is nuts! Anyone else still with cravings?!

Re: cravings...and yes I'm PP!!!

  • I was an eating monster the first two weeks after I had LO and I formula feed! Thankfully it's settled down now but I still love my m & ms :)
  • All I want is chocolate all the time too. It's a problem...

  • @dmd0830 i've been craving a good donut too!
  • I craved Tuna and bread! I was telling my hubby that maybe I was pregnant again be cravings were massive! I also still have food aversions.
  • Mmm mine is tuna and still have a wicked sweet tooth! Especially chocolate
  • A lot of the time your body will crave what it is lacking. You may be craving the sugar or caffeine found in dark chocolate if you are super tired. Or you just want chocolate because it is amazing. :)

Chocolate filled donut!!! I've been craving one for weeks, I don't know why I don't just go get one.
  • I also crave chocolate like crazy. I have always loved chocolate, but I was indifferent to chocolate my whole pregnancy. I'm glad to be back to my old self, but these cravings are maddening!
  • Yes! I breastfeed and I have more appetite and cravings than pregnant. Chocolate chip cookies made in oven are a must - daily. And I can eat deli sandwiches and jalepeno chips like they're going out of style. I have to have turkey taco meat the way I make it in the fridge at all hours for just in case because I love spicy right now!
  • I'm starving all the time!

@ashleytiff this is from the "11 things you didn't know about breast-feeding" discussion board…1. Who needs the gym? The metabolic energy needed to breastfeed a baby each day is the amount you’d use to walk seven miles.... No wonder we are hungry!
  • 7 miles whoa! No wonder. I weigh 13 lbs less than before I got pregnant. And I eat 4 times more LOL. Also I was in my normal clothes right after baby (I only gained 15 lbs pregnant). This pumping thing is like the best skinny girl trick ever! My size 6 jeans are baggy! How awesome lol I may do this forever. Just kidding because bring my pump everywhere like a purse Forever sounds miserable.. I'm 6 weeks in and already looking forward to stopping. Who am I kidding
