Baby macrosomia

We were scheduled for an ECV next week but after having measurements done yesterday, we cancelled. Baby is macrosomic meaning she is really large. Measurements said 8 lbs 5 Oz and her head is measuring at 42 weeks. We are 38+3. So looks like we are doing a c section on Monday instead. Kind of a relief to have everything set.

    8 lbs 5oz is not particularly large, and estimates are notorious for being off. If you are comfortable with the plan that's great, but I would be getting a second opinion

    This baby was estimated at 8.25lbs at 36 weeks and we are still hoping for a VBAC. To my knowledge, Macrosomi is not in and of itself an indication for a c-section. But best of luck on your journey!

    Our baby measures 8lb9oz at 38 weeks. I don't think 8 lb at 38 weeks is huge. If you really want to try the version, I wouldn't let an ultrasound estimate turn you away. Either way, good luck :)
