waking with numbness

I feel like a total newb asking about this, but last pregnancy I didn't have many issues sleeping.  I'm a side sleeper, and I remember later in my pregnancy my hips would hurt and I'd just roll over.

The past two nights I've woken up and whatever side I'm sleeping on is numb in the hip/waist area.  What can I do to relieve this without buying a full pillow contraption?  I'm surprised this is coming up so early!  I have a little belly, definitely starting to look pregnant now, but it's not huge!  Can't complain, I'd rather have this than those blasted leg cramps.  Hated those!

This is a dumb question, but what do you do with it? Tuck it between your legs?  Lean on it?

  • Yes.  Hug the crap out of it on your side.  When your belly gets bigger and it starts straining your back while on your side (if you remember that pulling/heavy feeling), you can put it under your belly.  It's a cheap under $20 solution :)
