Midnight restroom visits

I'm thinking of wearing an adult diaper instead of getting up 3-4 times a night lol jk ! But seriously I hate getting up and trying to go back to sleep and I get tired midday.

Re: Midnight restroom visits

  • Ha ha!
I only get up once or twice but since I hurt my back, rolling out of bed became a 5 minute ordeal. We now placed a bench so I can slide down... I feel so pathetic

  • You're lucky. My son is already head down and when I check checked the doctor can feel him so in assuming that's why my restroom breaks increase and me drinking right before I go to bed
  • I drink A LOT of water, and keep 2 bottles of water beside the bed for during the night. I usually get up 2-3 times in the night and am usually thirsty anyway. Is it weird that I find it oddly satisfying because I'm emptying a full bladder rather than the stupidly tiny amounts I often end up peeing during the day? (I think it's because during the day he puts pressure on my bladder and at night he floats up to my ribs/stomach). We do (thankfully) have a half bathroom off of our master bedroom (or I probably would have tripped down our stairs in the night by now), and I do sleep with a body pillow, which keeps me on my side.

  • I'm super thirsty all the time for ice cold water. I probably drink at least 2 or 3 glasses just at night, therefore I get up on the hour to pee. Add that to waking up with my mouth so dry it's stuck together at least one per hour and having to roll over every 45 minutes because of my hips/knees/neck/shoulders hurt =zero sleep. Let's not go into what happens when my 22 month old wakes up crying (thank God not that often anymore but it still happens)
  • My restroom is in the master bedroom and I sleep on the same side so what I do is roll off the bed...and take a few steps and I'm in. I have a nightlight wallflower in my restroom so I don't distrube the mister but I wake him up anyway bc he hears me. I usually pee then walk to the kitchen and drink milk I'm obsessed with cold milk
  • I do the suck in and slowly roll out of bed at least 2 times a night. And then guzzle half of an Ice cold bottled water. Pregnancy has turned me into a water snob. I do the slow shuffle with my hands straight out sliding along the bed, walls, etc and keep my eyes closed. Seems to help with falling back to sleep. Granted I look like a pregnant mummy, but who doesn't.

  • I've mastered the amount of steps it take to go around the bed, down the hall and into the bathroom. I leave a small light in the kitchen on that shines lightly down the hall to our bedroom and bathroom. So I never turn on any lights.
  • I'm exhausted. I've been waking once or twice a night for a while. Now I'm waking every hour or two. I have to pee and I'm very thirsty. It's a vicious cycle. ..
  • This is one of those reason why I firmly believe you are less tired with a newborn than at the end of pregnancy! At least with a baby you are getting up every 2-3 hours. I felt so well rested the other night because I only had to get up 4 times to pee instead of the usual once every hour.
  • Every morning I make bfast for the BF and then I get in bed but once I'm up I'm up. I hate getting out of bed to pee but it feels so good to go back to bed with an empty bladder. Monday my kids start school so I have to get up earlier and go back to work :( short vacation lol
  • I usually roll over, kick my legs about in a mini tantrum that I have been woken up to pee (again), waddle to the bathroom, pee, waddle back to be then huff and puff (in a mini tantrum) that I can't get comfortable and get back to sleep.  If I could thrash my legs wildly I would have a full on tantrum because I am definitely over being uncomfortable at night time and not sleeping properly!!!
  • Yes!! Slept for 3 hours straight the other day and it was like a miracle! Normally waking up at least every hour to pee. Our bathroom is in our room closest to my side of the bed but I don't care how close it is it's a pain!! And with some SPD it's so difficult to roll out of bed! Maybe after the baby gets here I can get at least 2 hours of sleep at a time so I'm not so much of a zombie!! Lol
  • I'll do you one better - getting up to pee every hour and you toddler coming into your room 30 minutes afterwards EVERY.EFFING.TIME!!!!!! Not because they have to pee, or even because they want to be nosey... just because. But then gives you grief in the morning when it's time to officially wake up....
  • OMG I can't sleep at all during the night.  My son is kicking me nonstop and I have to go like 3-4 times during the night.  He starts kicking and moving about midnight and it last until about 5 a.m. then I can fall asleep.  Trouble is I end up sleeping till like 11 a.m. I hate getting up so late but I'm so dang tired.  Last night while making a bathroom trip I walked into a door and now I have a slight black eye.
