Had a doc appointment, which meant I got to sleep in an extra hour, got cuddles with LO#1 and was able to enjoy breakfast with him. Got to said appointment and only gained a pound. Also got the pertussis vaccination taken care of. I'm on a roll. \:D/
Wednesday win: I got a raise! First time I ever officially asked for one. Not a whole lot, but every little bit helps. Oh, and to celebrate, I bought 5 new maternity dresses \:D/
Win : I returned an extra carseat I got for my shower (it was a model I wanted to exchange) at babies r us yesterday and found a brand new mamaroo on clearance for having a damaged box for only $180 & the ergobaby insert I needed for $15 (again missing original packaging). Mega score !! I personally can stand babies r us prices but I have several gift cards to burn through so it was perfect! Now all that's left is go grab a car seat! (I was to overwhelmed to decide which model I wanted alone.. sigh)
Finally got parking at my job! Parking in downtown Chicago is a hassle, but I finally got assigned to a parking garage on lake shore drive, right down the street from work! YAY!! No more commuting for the rest of my pregnancy!!! I'm the HAPPIEST gal in town Screw you rude people who don't give up their seats on public trans to exhausted pregnant chicks!
We had a breastfeeding class last night, pediatrician appointment this morning and then went and preregistered at the hospital. I feel so productive! Maybe I'll take a nap
My husband and I went to my 32 week ultrasound, yesterday, and discovered baby is already in the head down position -- which explains why my pelvis has been hurting. I'm super happy she's turned
Also, my husband just started his new work schedule because he was promoted last week. We got to have breakfast together as if it were one of his days off. Loved every minute of it
I brought popsicles with me to the office so I can have a refreshing treat. It's been 90+ degrees for the last month and a half here in So Cal.
I officially have 3 weeks left until maternity leave. I can't wait until I'm out of here and don't have to see this one passive-aggressive, high-strung, inefficient supervisor that works here. She can kiss my foot.
My work week ends today at 5:30 so that is awesome. And I get to go stand up next to my sister-in-law as she gets married this weekend (trying to be positive even though I am 7 months pregnant and huge).
I have two - first, I get to leave work in 10 minutes because I have a doctor's appointment. I feel like I'm doing something wrong abandoning my students on the second day of class, but man am I happy to get out early and enjoy the unseasonably nice weather we're having.
My second is that my best friend just found out she got her reach-for-the-stars, long shot dream job that pays really well and is exactly what she's been looking for. She's had a rough go of it the last two year with a divorce, a career crisis, and a recent breakup, so this is amazing for her and I am so, so happy!!
Just had a surprise shower at work! My colleagues are super generous!
We got our crib and mattress and a boatload of other things for baby. I am so very thankful, and luckily kept the tears in check!\
Now we can get going on setting up the nursery! Hurray!
Mama to a wonderful DD - Sep 2015, Wife to my DH since 2011, 2 dogs, a cat, and hoping to add No. 2 in May/June 2018. Canadian. 5 - IUIs, 3 - IVF retrievals, 2- failed transfers (fresh, and frozen), PGS on second IVF resulted in 1 perfect emby, and DD. 3rd IVF w PGS resulted in 3! perfect embys. 1st transfer - Sep 2017 2 more on ice.
Replaced our dryer belt & got the dryer up and running all by myself. Took it apart, diagnosed the issue, ordered the part and replaced it. Without any help (other than youtube) . Not 100% sure if it's a win yet, it's making a funny smell light burning, it could be from being inactive for a month, or friction from the new belt being so tight. Otherwise extremely proud of myself.
Also win built the mamaroo, and I just wish I could curl up and nap in it. It's just so soothing to watch it.
Got a bikini wax and feel so much better down there (minus the swelling and sweating!!!) and got a manicure. Also got a bunch of postpartum supplies today. Shouldn't need to do any more shopping before baby gets here, except registry completion, but none of it is stuff that we HAVE TO have before she arrives. I'm so ready for baby girl to be here!!
My win was a Tuesday win but I went to the doctor yesterday and found out I lost a little weight (which the doctor is ok with since I had gained 27.5 pounds at 28 weeks) and I'm measuring slightly big but in the good range. But the best part of the appointment was the doctor telling me that I'm "A picture perfect pregnant woman!" Made me feel amazing!
Mine is from yesterday. I redecorated and reorganized two huge rooms and an outdoor area in our house yesterday in 3 hours. I also got a bunch of pampers on sale. Yay for crazy nesting and awesome shopping!!
Found a daycare 300 metres from my house, and just $7.30 per day! So we'll be starting my 2 year old there in September twice a week when I'm on mat leave, and she'll continue there after baby is born! So now I'll be able to get a break from her demanding rambunctious toddler energy and she'll have a chance to run around and play with other kids. SCORE!

Most items off the registry are here or are in transit. Thanks, Ma!
All my shower thank you cards are written- now to handcraft/decorate them and put them in the mailbox!
