my 6 week old has colicky. Cries and screams for the majority of the day. We have tried everything. Using gerber soothe drops and Zantac for the reflux. On neocate formula due to a milk protein allergy he had to my milk and other formulas. Any advice on how to calm baby down when wont stop screaming? We take car rides and play music he seems to like that.

A swing and a video on YouTube of vacuuming sounds saved my life! I would just turn the video up loud when my LO would get super upset. It didn't always work but it did save my sanity many times! Good luck to you!

My first was like that. It just took time. She was a million times better once she could sit and burp easily on her own (around 5.5 months). I know that is probably not much comfort right now. She got a little better at around 3 months. We used to swaddle her, hold her horizontal supported well in our arms and bounce gently on a yoga ball. She liked that better than anything. She did turn into the most easy going, well behaved, sweet toddler in the world so just know that this time period means little to nothing long term. You just gotta grit your teeth and get through it.

I nannied for a little girl who had very bad problems with colic. Little Remedies brand of gas drops in each bottle worked miracles. Also, a vibrating bouncer to keep her upright for a minimum of 20 minutes after every feeding helped tremendously. I wore her in a carrier a lot of the day and never let her lay flat when she slept (used a plow under her pack n play mattress to prop her up). It's tough but it does get better!

No one really knows what causes colic so trying reflux meds, burping, sitting up, etc MIGHT help but true colic is a mystery. Your baby could be crying for many different reasons.

White noise seems to work really well and a swing or something with movement. It's rough, I know so hang in there because it does get better.

I second the yoga ball. It was the only thing that worked with my first!
