So I'm trying to walk for this stupid gestational diabetes and every time I do I get BH contractions pretty frequent throughout. My tummy gets so tight sometimes I need to slow down or stop. Anyone else have this issue? I'm about 34 weeks.
I have Braxton hicks fairly often. I'm 35 +2 and when I walk or sometimes even just sitting up I'm bed reading. Sunday night they got really uncomfortable but eventually went away. I'm hoping it means I'll deliver between 37 and 39 weeks. My daughter was 11 days early too so who knows.
Yep! I walk on the treadmill at the gym at a pretty fast pace. It makes me contract like crazy and is pretty uncomfortable but doesn't hurt. I just push through it because I know the exercise is good for me and they aren't labor contractions. As soon as I get off the treadmill they stop and I go about my day.
Yep everytime I workout or go on a walk. Dr said it's totally normal to get more contractions and cramping when your active, nothing to worry about! Mine said to just take a little break but no need to stop unless they get unbearable, but I'm past 37 weeks so it's also not a big deal if I go into labor at this point
Mine are the reverse...they're essentially whenever I'm NOT in motion. Being up and moving keeps them at bay, but sitting down, reclining in the recliner, or lying down, there they are.

I have exactly the same problem! I'm 34 weeks, I ended up in the ER the other night, I have GD too, they said I was dehydrated so I'm drinking more water it seems like is working
I'm 34w too and find walking (something I used to really enjoy) to be incredibly challenging. I don't want to put strain on myself but I also don't want to have complications for being immobile...
Same thing happens to me - I try to walk on the treadmill 3-4 times a week for an hour and I always get the majority of my BH contractions during that time. But I guess it kind of makes sense since they tell you if you want to jump start your labor (if you go past your due date for example) to walk around because it can get labor moving. I guess it can also jump start the practice sessions!
