Bad mommy award because my little one is 12 weeks and today was my first time reading to her...I know, I know. BUT, she absolutely loved it.! Sat and listened and just looked at the book the whole time. (: too cute. Anyone else have a picture of their LO with a book they'd like to share.?
My little guy loves very graphic books with not too many words - I ad lib and describe the images on each page. These two are his favorites! (Mommy is a big pop art fan)
I read to DS every night I suppose it's the teacher in me. My friend got him THE coolest book ever! The Boy Who Lost His Name. You go online and customize it for the child's name. I bawled when I opened it at the baby shower. I think it'll be his fave book.

That's awesome, I wonder if the whole idea would lose its pizzazz if I just ordered it for LO myself lol
I don't have enough hands to get a picture, but last night was the first time my son actually sat through a book being read to him. He's finally interested and was looking at the book and reaching out to touch it. So we're going to start adding reading books into our routine more.
My daughter loves listening to me read , I'm lucky because with this one she Is content just to hear my voice so mostly I read my own books aloud and then sometimes we read baby books
I don't read to my baby, I read to my toddler while my baby happens to be there too. I'll tell her little stories off the top of my head and sing nursery rhymes though.
@rachelarynxo - we love the pout pout fish over here. And by we I mean me and DH. Not sure yet if DS is actually that interested. That one and the gruffalo are our favourites though! Haha!!
My little guy was super into "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" until hubby accidentally had a bottle explode all over it. Now we're into "Are you My Mother" and "Good Night Moon." He always starts fussing towards the end though. Need to work on that attention span.
