I had my daughter there in 2011. It was small and quaint. Which was nice not having a ton of nurses and Dr's in and out. I didn't get any help from the nurses though. They pretty much only came in when they needed to check something. Also, keep in mind they don't have a nursery so your baby will stay with you at all times. Also, at the time my husband was not allowed to order food. So, he had to go to the cafeteria and buy food if he got hungry.

I know I'm late to respond (new to site!) but I wanted to say how much I LOVE GP Beaumont!
It is private, clean and friendly. Everyone is very helpful and attentive . I am delivering there in April myself, but my sister delivered 3 times there and I was astounded with the fantastic treatment/service she got.
Hi! Not completely relevant BUT I am here to say I live in Grosse Pointe and during my pregnancy I had to go to the E.R. and I had a terrible experience at Grosse Pointe Beaumont. None of the nurses were gentle or patient. No one listened to what I had to say.. just an awful time there. I delivered out of Royal Oak Beaumont and my experience there was a complete opposite. It was a little far but the care, competence, and comfort was way worth the drive. Long story short, I don't know how their labor & delivery unit is but initially I would not recommend Grosse Pointe Beaumont.
