Nebulizer help??

so my LO has a bad cough and pead recommended a nebulizer before he gets too sick. So my question is, how long does he have to wear the mask at a time? 2,3,4,5 min? And how many times a day? Any help will be appreciated!

    Agree with PP, but they likely will not give you a timeframe. The nebulizer puts out mist during the treatment and once the most dissipates and the albuterol chamber is empty, the treatment is over. But I don't know if your nebulizer is set up the same way as the ones we used in my office, so see if it says anything in the instructions or talk to your pharmacist if that is where you got it. As much as doctors are great for medical questions, they are likely not going to know about the particular machine you are using; still, the medical assistant staff may be able to answer your question or even show you how to use it. Hope your LO feels better soon! And that he tolerates that mask for long enough to get a good treatment!
