  This is only my 2nd baby, but with my 1st I was 2 weeks past due and had wondered the same thing. From what I've gathered from other mama's and google- it's unpredictable. I wish there was a direct answer, but with every baby being different it's hard to say.

  I think it really depends on the reason you delivered early the first time. My first was 2 weeks early and my doctor said I will likely be early with this one as well. I am very small and have a family history of not carrying to 40 weeks so it was not a surprise to my doctor or me when I went into labor at 38 weeks.

  My first was 10 days early and my second was 6 days early. Hoping this one follows the same trend.

  My first came 5 days early and my second came almost 3 weeks early. I'm hoping this baby comes 7-10 days early because that's fall break for my older kids and it would make life easier for them. ..

  My water broke and baby girl one was born at 39 weeks. At 37 weeks with baby girl two, I had my first internal and was almost 4 cm dilated. I had her about 8 hours later that same day. I have no idea when baby girl three will come. Not counting on her being early but if she follows her sisters, she will be.

  Thanks ladies! I was never given a reason why my first came early, she dropped early (34wk)and my midwife said typically 4weeks later you deliver and she was right almost to the day.
