Swimming in lake at 35 weeks

I've looked it up but no one has said the same thing. I had brown discharge this morning and I'm not sure if that's the start of my mucus plug but is it safe to swim in the lake?

Re: Swimming in lake at 35 weeks

  • Personally, I wouldn't question it, I'd do it without a second thought

  • As long as your water hasn't broke your not at any more of a risk for infection then you would be non pregnant.
  • I was swimming in a lake about 12 hours before I went into labor. Didn't even question it. As long as your water hasn't broken you're fine.
  • I swam in the ocean at 34 weeks and didn't think a thing of it. It was so relaxing to be in the water and waves.
  • there's no problem with swimming :)

Same, except I went at 39 and 40 weeks! It was really nice!

This is mostly true except that not everyone's water breaks! You want to know for sure that you're all sealed up in there so I think as long as you're not dialating you should be ok.
