Food for thought from an occasional poster mostly lurker (opml)-it's not about food though lol

I came across this picture on pinterest and it kind of blew my mind---carrying a child is an amazing but cramped experience! No wonder it's a feat to go to the bathroom!

P.S. I don't know if it exists yet...but I'm coining the phrase "occasional poster mostly lurker" (OPML) :D

  • Any time I get heart burn I just remind myself, it's going to get cramped in there!

Lol I feel like it's already like that and I'm not showing yet. Get full so quick, harder to breathe. Btw I'm in your same group OPML lol.

Edited because I forgot a word.
  • Here's another one:

  • EEK! Our poor intestines! What the heck? No wonder I'm so constipated.

Colace helps a little if you add fiber one bars and maybe some frosted mini wheats if you can stomach milk.

Whenever I see these pictures they make my body hurt lol. So crazy how amazing our bodies are to fit a squishy human in there!
  • Yeah I struggled towards the end last pregnancy. It really felt like everything was being squished inside, I am also short, so there wasn't much room for my big baby to spread! Hoping this one won't be as big :)

  • I'm actually tall but short wasted so I'm pretty sure I'm getting cramped already! lol  I'm showing so much higher than where the baby actually is and I'm running out of breath at times.  It is crazy what our bodies are capable of and how it adjusts to be pregnant.  Amazing!

  • Omg... I just can't...
  • Another short momma over here! Third trimester especially the last month I might as well moved into the bathroom. I wish I was at least 2 inches taller! I am not asking for much lol.

  • Wow . . . the more responses I hear here and on other boards the more I'm happy I'm tall with a long torso! I'm sorry to you more petite ladies! :(
  • The up side is that by the end of the pregnancy you feel so awful that you actually start longing to give birth.

This reminds me of every time I report various maladies to my OB, she will offer suggestions to make me more comfortable but always ends with, "but remember, the only cure is birth!"
  • It was tough enough being 9 months pregnant and 5'2" with a singleton- but here's the image from Pinterest for those of us (like myself) who are having twins! Not quite sure how it's all going to fit!

  • These are the kind of things that gave me a panic attack at ikea at like 6 weeks. I'm 5'2" with a particularly short torso. How the hell is an entire person supposed to fit in there??
  • I'm super short (5'0") and carried my son 41w 5d, and he was 9lbs 9oz. when he came out! It honestly wasn't so bad. You get used to it. I mean, yes it's uncomfortable, but you get through it somehow! I will say that I was lucky (not for birthing, but for living with a huge bump) in that he never dropped and I carried him really high up until I was induced. If he had dropped I'm sure it would have been much more difficult, since that puts so much pressure on your pelvis.

Yep I'm 5'1" and carried twins to 38 weeks! Definitely not sure how they fit in there, but somehow they do! It's crazy!! I don't think that picture shows how big you'll actually get ha!

  • I am in your OPML club too! And holy cow, the struggle is real with this heartburn...

  • When I see pictures like these- or really, just thinking about what's going on in there- I'm reminded how amazing and totally weird our bodies are! And I'm also a member of the OPML club. I'm glad you coined the phrase!
