Have any of the mommy's here givin their 2 month old rice cereal mixed with the formula? Mine is drinking 5 ounces every 3 hours and still wakes up every 3 hours to feed.
The popular opinion these days is to NOT do rice cereal. Your baby has a small stomach so your feeding pattern is okay. Baby's stomach is not developed enough to tolerate food now.
Do not give rice cereal until your child is old enough to sit up and eat it from a spoon. The only exception is when a Dr prescribes it for reflux. All you are going to do is stretch your baby's stomach with empty calories and your child still may wake up every 3hrs or more. Rice cereal is not a magical STTN answer.

Every 3hours is completely normal at only 2 months old! Rice cereal is definitely not ok at this point unless like pp said it is prescribed for severe uncontrolled reflux. You need to suck it up and deal with the wake upsand/or get some motn help. My daughter was 15-16 months old before she stopped waking 3-4 times a night. Babies wake for more than just food also. Its also about comfort and often happens more during growth spurts and developmental leaps. Rice cereal will do absolutely nothing during these times except make your baby more unhealthy.
I agree with previous posters but there is a max recommended amount of formula per day (32oz). Talk to your pedi if they are drinking more than that. DS had to start at 2.5 months because he was drinking too much formula and screaming for more. It was not to get him to sleep through the night (he already was), it was because he needed more calories.
