Clomid and late ovulation

Has anyone experienced later than usual ovulation while on Clomid? I usually O on CD 18 or 19. This is my first cycle on Clomid (50 mg), today is CD 16 and my Follicles are no where near ready. Had my U/S and blood work yesterday and they're only at 9mm, my E2 is only at 64. I'm hoping it won't be too late because my hubby goes out of town on Friday.

    On 2 of my 3 Clomid rounds, I O'd 2 days after I usually do. On my first round, I O'd 1 day late. I did not do the trigger for any of my rounds because my first two were unmonitored and my monitored round showed a very thin lining. I know my O dates for the first 2 based on BBT and the last one from knowing my body so well thanks to IF and a confirmation u/s and BW.

    I believe each person reacts differently, but that is my experience. It also extended my LP by 2-3 days, so just a heads up on that for once you ovulate.

    TTC since 5/14
    Unexplained with (controlled) hypothyroidism and suspected ovulatory dysfunction (but, I do ovulate on my own)
    Clomid 50 mg 3/15 (unmonitored) - BFN
    Clomid 50 mg + metformin 4/15 (unmonitored) - BFN 
    First RE appt. 5/15; Natural cycle 5/15 monitored with 2 mature follicles and Pregnyl Trigger (full dose) + prometrium - BFN
    6/15 HSG - clear tubes & normal uterus; great PCT test results
    TI - 100 mg Clomid + prometrium (AM & PM) + vaginal estrace (AM & PM) 6-7/15 (monitored) --> no additional response and thinned lining - BFN
    TI - Injectables (follistim + Gonal-F, Ganirelix, & 1/2 dose Pregnyl) + prometrium (AM & PM) 9/15 --> 3-7 mature follicles (3 definites and 4+ that could have matured due to trigger) @ O -->BFN + 5 large cysts
    BC for 2 weeks due to cysts
    TI - Injectables (Gonal-F, Ganirelix & full dose Pregnyl) + prometrium (AM & PM) 10/15 --> 1 mature follicle --> BFN 
    TI - Last attempt at injectables (Gonal-F, Ganirelix & 1/2 dose Pregnyl) + crinone (AM only) + vaginal estrace (AM & PM) 11/15 --> 3-4 mature follicles --> BFP!! 11/27/15 @ 13dpo (shockingly, actually waited until then to test)

    Beta #1 @ 16dpo (11/30/15) = 1,075
    Beta #2 @ 19dpo (12/3/15) = 3,150
    One baby: Saw heartbeat @ 5w5d (114 bpm; baby measuring 2.3mm)

    When I was on clomid I had ultrasounds to monitor in day 13 or 14. IF I had a follicles around 20 or over my OBGYN would do the trigger shot so I would ovulate around day 15 or 16. If I had a follicle that small I would have just had to forgo the cycle (which happens like 5/6 times). How many cycles of clomid have you done? Does your doctor think you are ovulating consistently on it? I O'd once at the max dose. We did one more cycle at that same dose and I didn't...the doctor said that because I was not REGULARLY responding it was time to move on to different medications. Which I appreciate as it would have been a waste of time my continuing with the clomid when I wasn't even O'ing every month.

    @riveridgional thanks for sharing your experience. Hoping I'm just O'ing late and this cycle isn't a bust.

    @PCOSat25 this is my first cycle. My doctor wants me to come back on Monday for another u/s. He wants to give my follies sometime to grow some more. I don't want to waste anymore time, so I'm hoping this will work and my O is right around the corner.

    @Rachd110 My hope and thoughts are that you are just Oing late but hopefully in time for timing to work with your DH. I hope your Monday u/s shows amazing progress and you are ready to trigger! Best of luck to you!

    @Rachd110 I O'd about 1 day behind on last cycle from clomid. Good luck and FX!

    Married: 8/29/2009
    TTC- since we got married (off and on)
    TTC with focus: Since July 2015
    Currently had 2 rounds of failed IUIs, failed TI monitored cycle
    December 2015: Starting 1st IVF cycle
    January 2016: Retrieval
    March 2016: Pending Transfer (I have 3 PGS tested embryos waiting for a womb)
    April 2016: BFP, the old fashioned way.

    @Rachd110 I O'd 1 day later too for my first 2 rounds. This month I was 1 day early.
    Follicles can grow quick overnight though. You still have a few of days! FX for you!
    Me 30 || DH 36
    Unexplained Infertility- Postive for MTHFR Gene Mutation

    Natural cycles with 1 miscarriage
    -3 IUI's w/ Clomid= BFN 
    -IVF #1-Follistim and Menopur= BFN
    ***11 Eggs, 10 mature, 8 fertilized, transferred 1 (day 5) 2 made it to freeze
    -FET #1- Transferred 2, day 5 embryos =BFN
    -IVF #2- Follistim and Menopur = BFN
    ***11 retrieved, 8 mature, 6 fertilized, transferred 2 (day 3), 4 made it to freeze (Follistim and Menopur) = BFN
    -FET #2- Transferred 2, day 3 embryos = BFN
    **Changed doctor**
    -IUI #4- natural cycle = BFN
    -IUI #5- Follistim (5 eggs) BFP- lead to Miscarriage  :'(
    -Laproscopic Surgery for Endometriosis, Polyp removal and Cyst removal. 
    -IVF #3- Menopur, Follistim, Lupron, Ganirellex- BFP lead to Eptopic Pregnancy  :'(
    ***11 Eggs retrieved, 10 Mature, 8 fertilized, transferred 3 embryos (day 3), 0 made it to freeze
    -Lapropscopic surgery- Removal of Fallopian Tube
    -IVF #4- Estrogen Priming with Vivelle dot, Menopur, Follistim, Ganirellex- BFP  :)
    ***15 Eggs retreived, 11 mature, 11 fertilized, 2 embryos transferred (day 3), 2 made it to freeze
    Found out I was positive for MTHFR Gene Mutation during TWW of IVF #4

    Thanks @babyexpress and @Colleen0516 for your replies. I had another u/s this morning and my largest follicle is at 13.9. My E2 is at 164! Moving slowly, but happy it's growing.
    My nurse said Clomid doesn't make you ovulate late, it's just how your body responds to it. They want me back on Wednesday for more monitoring.

    Hopefully I'll be ready for my IUI on Thursday since hubby leaves that night.
