5 week scan

i have my first scan today the nurse said I'm about 5 weeks couldn't see anything so did an internal and we could only see the sac and yolk is this normal not to see fetus yet? I go back in 3 weeks will we see more then? X

    That's completely normal. They shouldn't have even done one at 5 weeks. They don't really tell you much about a developing pregnancy. (viability, etc) You'll definitely see more in three weeks.

    3 miscarriages - 1 DS (6) - 1 DD (3)  - #3 due March 30!

    We did a scan on Friday to see how everything was going and to see if there was anything going on in my uterus. I measured 4 weeks and at that point I had known for 2 weeks based upon a BFP and blood work. It was just a yoke sac as well.  I go back in 2 weeks to see if we can see anything more.  Because I have PCOS, we did it mainly so that we can see how far along I am and track the pregnancy a bit more closely because of the rate of MC that comes with that.

    I did a 5 week scan and they diagnosed me with a blighted ovum. I was devastated but it was too early. They re scanned a few days later when I hit 6weeks and the baby popped up!
