How often are you getting Braxton Hicks?

I just started getting them and they seem to happen all the time now! Like at least once an hour sometimes more. They aren't painful...just feel weird. Curious if anyone else has this experience. Oh and I'm 31 weeks if that helps.

  • I get them allllll day long. Several an hour. Stay hydrated and don't let your bladder get too full. It's just your body's way of getting you ready for labor :)
  • Im 31 weeks with twins and not had any yet :-/
  • I have them all the time! I find when I'm at work (either sit or standing position) or if I'm walking alot, they become super painful. Once I lay down they stop. I felt like I may be the only one having them what seems like constantly.
  • This is my 3rd pregnancy but my first time getting BH! Been getting them since approx 14-16 weeks, and can have multiple a day but I might have 2-3 days in a row where I don't get any. For some reason I seem to get them in the car while driving a lot, I don't know if it's the rocking motion that sets them off or just coincidence!
  • A friend of mine has been getting about 20 a day. Her doctor said it's fine.
I get them too but I don't keep track of how many and how often.

  • Same here. This is my second child. The dr said he would start to be concerned if im getting 5-7 in an hour
  • I'm 31 weeks tomorrow and I never notice the tightening feeling unless I actually pay attention and watch for it.
  • A little over 33 weeks here and haven't had or should say felt any.
  • I'm 33 weeks and have not had any BH that I am aware of. My midwife says it is perfectly fine not to have any, but I think it's interesting how some people have them regularly and some never do!
  • I have them pretty regularly every time I get in the car and when I am working on the computer too.
  • Mine are very frequent. If I am up, and active then they are usually around 5 min apart. If I'm at home just being lazy then I typically get a few an hour. I have been to LD twice for them and dr has assured me that all is ok unless they are progressively intensifying or become more painful than uncomfortable. At my last visit, I was 2cm dilated and contracting every 3-4 min. Dr said my uterus is just irritable. Not concerning since I was not effaced at all either.
  • I'm a little over 32 weeks and get a few an hour - not painful or uncomfortable, just a tightening of my tummy. I was worried but it sounds like it's normal and absolutely notice them more when my bladder is full.
  • I'm starting to feel like the odd man out - I don't think I've had any BH, or if I have, I haven't noticed at all.
  • I haven't had any yet with this pregnancy, but with my last one, I had them every 5-10 minutes for six weeks before my daughter was born.  24/7.  It was awful.
  • I'm 31 weeks and haven't had any that I've noticed. I'm also a ftm - I hear you feel them more if it's not your first?
