Freaking Out!

Over the weekend I was sent to ER with bad discharge, bleeding that came back(4 weeks post-partum after cesarean), pain in my lower right side and nausea. I was told I had PID and sent home with antibiotics. The next day after being unable to keep the medicine down for more than half an hour I was sent back to the ER but went to a different hospital(There are 3 in my city). They think I don't have PID but found something on a CT scan that concerned them(they didn't really specify what it was that was concerning them). They sent me home with the same antibiotics and different nausea medication.

Tonight I can't sleep due to the pain being worse than before. Still can't keep the antibiotics down. I feel jittery and just not normal. Having never felt anything like this before I'm scared and just hoping maybe someone here has had a similar experience and can help me.

  • I'm sry. I am no help. I would be going back to the doctors.

  • What is PID
  • I believe it's pelvic inflammatory disease
  • I second going back to the docs
  • Are you taking the antibiotic with food? Or at least milk? Most will cause nausea and vomiting especially if taken on an empty stomach. I'd eat a snack then take your pill 20-30 mins later if possible. I'm so sorry you're having this pain and complications! Hope you feel better soon!
  • I had crazy bad pains in my abdominal area. I couldn't even hold my LO. I could hardly walk or even rest my hand on my side. I went to the dr. At 3 weeks PP and it was a bad UTI with bladder spasms. I was given antibiotics and bladder pills. I thought it had to be a complication with surgery but after taking the meds I felt so much better.
