potty training problems

My son is 2 1/2. When he was 1 he was very interested in the potty and went every morning and night, a few times at daycare too. Now in the last few months he is completely uninterested. He understands the feeling of being wet, but I don't know if he realises/understands what it feels like beforehand. We have tried every reward system we can think of, try putting him on every 2 hours or when he starts acting like he has to go, but still no luck. Any advise?

    Have you tried going naked at home? We went cold turkey on diapers to PT our kids.

    I tried putting him in underwear of the day, he would be very upset when he would pee in them, but it seemed like he couldn't help it, I can't tell if maybe it's a little too early and he doesn't understand the feeling of having to pee. It wouldn't do any harm to try again and maybe it will help him learn the feeling

    My kids aren't potty trained yet, but just wondering if there's been any change in his life? Did he just start day care? Did you move? New bed for him? I heard its normal for regression after a major change.

    I would back off and try again in a few weeks. He is not ready and/or regressing. Wait until he starts to show interest again or asks you. You can't force him to potty train and if so, it'll end up taking a lot longer.

    I wouldn't press it so hard, he might be getting frustrated in himself also.
    That being said naked time worked really well for my ds.

    No advice, but wanted to commiserate. DS used to be really interested in using the toilet, underwear, etc. but now he acts traumatized if he isn't in a diaper. I think he's nervous about starting pre-school in a few weeks and is having some regression.

    I think we'll try naked time this week since it seems like it's worked well for others.
