has anyone else had that pins and needles/arm fell asleep sensation? I read it's a common in pregnancy. I plan to see my doc about it on Monday.

My left hand is currently half asleep and has been for a couple of days. It's driving me crazy!

Any suggestions or tips to alleviate it?

  • Sounds like carpal tunnel to me and it SuCKS. I had it at the end of my last pregnancy and it has already started this time. Its due to swelling most of the time. Try a wrist brace first, you can get them usually at any local drug store or Walmart/Target. If it gets really bad you can get an cortisone injection into your wrist that will make the swelling go down, it helps a lot.

  • Oh goodness, that sounds awful.I cannot stand when parts of my body are asleep, it's the creepiest feeling! I have no advice but I think you are on the right track talk to your dr. I agree with @ThecoffeeBunch though I know too many people who have had carpal tunnel with pregnancy and they've been fine with little braces from the drug store.
  • My feet fall asleep pretty fast lately
  • Mine happens at night time. I'll wake up and can't feel one of my hands and then the tingly sensation kicks in once I move it. I have the braces still from last pregnancy and they do really help!
