well it happened-ish. 6 weeks pp, cleared by my doctor and I pumped so I could relax with some wine. It took a few tries and I was so tense but we did it.

It wasn't as bad as I was expecting although it wasn't a romantic or sexy moment at all. It was more of a mission than anything. Hopefully it just gets better with time.

My husband and I have done it a few times now, and I'll admit - it's definitely nerve-racking! But I can honestly say I still love having sex, despite the adjustment haha.

It's almost as if my nerves make it more like "eek!" at the beginning but once I relax, it feels great!

I haven't tried yet but with my first once we did my sex drive was through the roof for a while. I have zero sex drive normally so it's nice!!

We just tried with no luck, but I think it may be more my nerves than anything although it was painful. Thankfully my DH was understanding. Maybe a glass of wine is the answer. It has to get better, may just need a little help. ;-)

I just can't get enough and actually beg DH for it and have since 10 days pp. it has never hurt but actually the complete opposite has never felt better. I am 6 weeks pp now and having sex almost every day.

Way to go! My PP appointment is also on Monday but we have done it once and it was fine, no pain. I think I was more nervous than anything because I was afraid it was going to hurt. My drive is good but I've just been waiting for my appt as I don't want to risk getting pregnant again.

Hubby and me couldn't wait for the go ahead. We waited 3 weeks till I told him I was gonna take advantage of him while he was drinking beer lol and I had a little glass of wine. It hurt for all of 30 seconds like I was a virgin again and then I was good. I also had a C section. We were doing foreplay and I'd give him a bj the first few weeks and then I couldn't take it anymore lol. I'm very sexual. We've had it a few times now and I have an app Monday to clear me I'll be 5 weeks and 3 days PP.

Since we've done it a few times It feels great right off the bat now no more pain.

We did the do at 3 weeks pp, and it felt wonderful! We used lambskin condoms. @ecloho, I plan to tell my doc.

@ecloho I do plan to tell my Dr, and we used condoms as well. Skin ones as I'm allergic to latex and I plan to jump the hubby tonight lol. I know they want you to wait but we took precautions and took it easy. I missed sex that's for sure lol it stops me from killing people when im bitchy which from the lack of sleep I was very bitchy. No sex and no sleep equals cranky as hell me!

I got bad to the point that when my mans twins gf woke the baby (right after I got him to sleep and I was about to pass out) from banging in the kitchen I glared and left the house. She thought I hated her cause I was still pissed when I got back home. Was not a good day. The next day hubby and I did the deed and I managed to get a few hours sleep so I was all perly and in a great mood lol.

My PP appt is this Wednesday. As soon as I get the go ahead, I'm gonna be all over him. I had zero sex drive throughout the pregnancy and can probably count on one hand how many times we had sex in the last nine months. My drive has definitely returned but I've been afraid to do anything without the OK from dr. I'm still gonna be really nervous!!!

I had a c section going on 3 weeks ago & although I am looking forward to the "deed" with DH I will probably wait to get the green light from my doctor. I am still mildly sore & uncomfortable around my incision... It's like it's tight & itchy & has a slight stinging sensation at times. Also I mentioned in another discussion that all my steri-tape is still on...it's starting to loosen at the top & bottom edges but is still stuck in the middle of each piece to the incision

I don't understand how people could ignore doctor's advice! It boggles my mind. Much like pregnancy, there were many things I "craved" (cold cuts, moscato, etc.) but the risks outweighed the rewards. The same is said for my post partum recovery...I continued to follow my doctor's advice. It's 6 weeks, not an eternity. Just saying...that's my two cents.

I just had my postpartum appointment yesterday (5 weeks pp) and my doc gave me the go ahead for sexy and working out, whatever I'm comfortable with....I'm so nervous to have sex again! I'm still bleeding a little so I think I might wait until that's gone to try it. My husband is sooooo patient with me.

We've tried twice. Once at 4 wks pp and it hurt with him barely trying. Now I'm 6 wks and I was trying to bear the pain but it got to be too much to handle. I don't know how to not be nervous about it either

I have my 6 week appt tomorrow, actually not looking forward to getting the green light to do the deed. In fact I'll probably tell my husband they said to wait another 2 weeks. I feel like a milk factory right now and have no sex drive. And even if I did want some, should we attempt in between the baby screaming or during the straight crying? And we have to use a condom? Ugh. I feel like I'll be ready to have sex again when he's 2 or so.

We tried at almost 5 weeks PP, that lasted 30 seconds. And then after my appt (5 weeks pp) I got the progesterone (I BF) and we were gonna wait a couple more days but he watched baby and I had a night with my friend. I pump so I could dump it- problem is I don't remember it! Lol but I'm sure it was fine.

I go for my 6 week pp on Tuesday.... My husband left today for a week long conference..he'll be back on Friday..he said I better get ready for some long over due lovin lol

We'll see what the doctor has to say about that lol

I did it at 5 weeks pp. I was worried about pain and was nervous just thinking about sex. But once we started making out and things got hot n heavy I wasn't nervous or worried about anything other then jumping on top lol. There was a slight pain at first but was all good after that. I had no need to take it easy. I also delivered vaginally also breastfeeding and I'm a ftm. Everyone is different and everyone's body acts differently. I'm so glad though that it wasn't painful and that my sex drive is still as good before pregnancy and during pregnancy.

Saw my mid wife today for PP and she wasn't worried about us having sex at the 3 week mark. Said good job for feeling good enough to have sex. Every Dr is different in saying when to get back on the horse so to speak lol.
Just for those asking about telling Dr. It depends on you and your body and as long as yoi take precautions to help prevent infection you should be okay. Infection. Is possible whether you have sex or not. Sex does I crease the risk a bit depending.

What do you mean by 'steri-tape'? Your not talking about the tape they put on the incision right after surgery right? Cause that is suppose to come off in the first shower at the hospital the next day...:/ im hoping you mean something else because your incision needs to breath for it to heal! I am 4 weeks PP with a c section and mine is fully healed, no redness or tightness. Just the odd itchiness.

@SBbabyonboard yes that is the tape I am referring to. I was not told it would come off the next day in the shower...I was told it would come off on its own & not to remove it. Does seem odd that it's still attached so well & I'm afraid to remove it because of that. I plan on calling OBgyn tomorrow to ask.

The steri tape will come off as the incision heals. Some it takes longer than others.

Talked to doc yesterday she told me to take the tape off (it's been 3 weeks) I did with no problem & all is well ;;)

Steri strips are NOT ment to come off the next day. Typically they take at least 7-10 days. Longer is fine. They will fall off on their own.

Yes @randa923 my doc told me over the phone yesterday that they should've come off in 7-10 days & gave me the go ahead to remove them since I'm 3 weeks Postpartum. They actually came off real easy & without pain
