What is your favorite exotic vacation destination? And why? I love hearing about new fun places!

What dream destination is on your bucket list and why?

I dream about the Caribbean and Jamaica... And Australia. Because gorgeous beaches, animals, music and that sexy outback accent :x

I have family in Hawaii and I've visited a few times. Hubs and I LOVE it there and always talk about going back, but it's definitely on the pricey side.

I've always wanted to go to Ireland. Hopefully someday!

I'm not sure how exotic, but spring break of my last semester in college I was fortunate enough to backpack across Italy with my mom. I'm still thinking of the amazing food we ate there. Scenery, and company wasn't bad either!

@mattlovesemily I would have to be backpacking if I went to Italy! All that delicious pasta... I'm drooling just thinking about it!

I second Fiji or Bora Bora or Tahiti ...some South Pacific island. We considered it for the honeymoon but flight was so far and we only had a week. Ended up on Hawaii instead but it was beautiful

Dream vacation...Ireland and Scotland. I'm a huge lover of their traditions and history. The standing stones...the pubs...lochness monster...yup, all of it. I'm also Scottish and Irish and my H is Irish and I'd love for us to go explore our heritage.

I'm from Australia and go home every other year. I look forward to it as soon as I land back here. The kookaburras in the morning as the sun comes up and my soul feels complete.

On the list is Italy, just for a food tour!

I would love to go to Alaska and just bask in the nature and glaciers. I was terrified of kayaking on the ocean but I think I'd give it a go again to kayak in the mini ice glaciers!

Ireland is fabulous! So beautiful and interesting!!

Hawaii is on my list; we were going to do it for our honeymoon, but I wanted to legitimately just sit on a beach doing nothing and figured the island hopping and sticking to an itinerary would put a wrench in those plans...so in a few years!

We recently went to Ireland and the scenery was gorgeous, the food amazing (I was worried pub food would not be "good enough" for me). Everything was locally grown and just so so different from my experience in the States!

@Jilmce19 when hubs and I went we did 10 days and just stayed on Oahu and we found a lot of things to do! We aren't itinerary people-as much as I try to be! So we didn't really plan much just took it day by day and it was awesome! Lots of good hikes, snorkeling, and beach days!

I can't decide how I feel about cruises. I just love the idea of planting myself on a beach with a book and a Cooler of beer. I guess I could save a lot of money and do that on one of the Atlantic beaches

Isle of Palms, SC and Corolla, NC are my getaway spots!

Our honeymoon was in Antigua and it was amazing. I loved it! On our list is Ireland and Alaska if we ever make it to those places haha.

@Achae @jaimeruns @oxsarah7ox - I live in Alaska and definitely recommend a visit!

Hawaii is just a short trip for us so the DH and I have been to Kauai and Maui. They were both really nice even though we aren't beach people. My favorite was kayaking with humpback whales out of Maui in February!

DH and I once spent a couple days in Iceland. It was amazing and so unique. I really want to go back for a longer trip and see more of the volcanoes, waterfalls, and beautiful landscape!

We honeymooned in Greece and it was spectacular! I had always wanted to go to Santorini and it was as beautiful as I expected. All white buildings on a cliff and blue water. But Crete was kind of a surprise as we ended up liking it there even more. So naturally beautiful and the people we met were so welcoming and fun to talk to. I recommend! Next big fantasy trip might be an African Safari, but now that we're about to have a kid, I'm sure it will be a very long while til then!

Love this thread! My favorite vacation was when my husband and I got married - we eloped in Scotland and stayed there for a two week honeymoon. It was the coldest spring they'd had in 50 years, so it snowed, even on our wedding day, which made for some beautiful photos. Plus it was romantic, being in such a historical, beautiful city (Edinburgh) and popping into pubs as we walked around to get warm and have some wine or beer or cocoa.

We also traveled around to the Highlands and one of the Islands (Mull.) We'd love to go back in the summer to get the opposite Scottish experience!

I also was lucky enough to travel with work through Chile and Argentina some years ago, and that was magical, even though I was working long hours. I really want to go back one day with my husband. I also am dying to go the Greek Islands and Australia and New Zealand. Those are definitely at the top of my wish list. One day!

In the summertime! Having just spent 6 years living there I couldn't do another winter, it's so dark and cold and not good for my mental health at all.

We honeymooned in Yellowstone. Went back 3 years ago. LOVE it there. Glacier NP is on the list and Alaska. My hubs has never been to Europe and loves beer so Munich is on there too.

@ARogers26 Glacier National Park is one of my favorite places in the entire world! I went camping there for a week in my early 20's and it's just magic. And I've never been to Alaska either but I am dying to go!!

On my bucket list I've listed places in Europe to visit. I want to see London, Paris, different places in Italy. There is so much beauty and architecture and romance in these places. I just hope one day I'm able to see them in person.

Dream vacation destinations include: Prague, Scotland, Iceland, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and we're planning a babymoon to Jamaica!

I would LOVE to see Europe. All of it. From Finland to Spain to Turkey and everything in between. I wanna see it all!

We did a last minute random vacation in Haiwaii on our way through. It was the best vacation I've ever had. Beautiful. We stayed at Aulani Disney Resort on Oahu. I highly recommend. My girls were 4 and 2 and they LOVED every second. Hubby and I really enjoyed ourselves too.

I love cruises! Hubby and I have been on a few to the Caribbean and they are so relaxing and beautiful.

My dream vacation is a trip to Europe... Spain, France, Italy, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden... Pretty much anywhere lol. Unfortunately hubby does NOT like flying and refuses to go that far on a plane

My favorite vacation would be our wedding/honeymoon in Hawaii. It's absolutely beautiful there! We visited Oahu for a couple of days and then a week in Maui, we did so much exploring, hiking, and beach days. It was perfect and can't wait to go back again someday!!

We went to Aruba in January with our 1.5 year old son and my parents. It may sound odd, but it was the best vacation ever. Ds loves the water so we were at the beach and pools a ton. Aruba is an amazing island and we always felt completely safe so we wandered around a lot. And my parents being there meant we had a built in babysitter, so dh and I often went out at night just the 2 of us. It was awesome, and I would totally do it again.

This sounds so romantic!! Hubs and I would love to visit Ireland and Scotland.

Other than where everyone else has said, I'd love to go to Poland/Germany. My family is from over there and I still have family there and I feel like it would be so great to see where we came from. Plus October fest..... And authentic Polish/German food. Yep
