Hi all,
I'm 26 weeks along and for almost a week I've been getting brief but sharp prickly pains in the center or slightly to the right of my pelvic area. I asked my doctor and she looked at me confused as if my question was that far fetched. She checked my cervix and said it was fine and thinks they are bladder spasms which idk how I feel about that answer because I get them even when I don't have to use the restroom. They are starting to worry me because like I said they have been lasting almost a week and while they don't last more than 3 seconds at a time they hurt when they occur. I've been feeling baby moving but I still would love to know what is causing these. Any insight would be great.
Re: Quick, sharp pains...still?
It also sounds like it could be round ligament pain, or gas pain.
Seriously, everything is so smushed around in there and growing and tight that aches and pains are totally going to happen, and if baby is moving around and happy, and your cervix is closed and there's no bleeding, then I wouldn't worry one bit. I mean, we're growing living/moving objects inside of us, and our uterus' grow over 500x their normal size, so it's fine!
