So my future cousin-in-law, a couple of weeks ago at my gender reveal, made a comment calling herself my kid's godparent. I passed it off as her making a joke. A couple of days ago she again made a comment about her being my kid's godparent. Hubs and I speculated that she's possibly hinting about wanting to be. Texted the actual godmother and asked if she'd heard anything about this (both womens' fiance/husband are my cousins and we're all close enough, closer to the godparents though) and come to find out she's been telling people she's the godmother and when the actual godmother referred to LO as her godchild she got a dirty look and a pointed "my godchild." So now I have to talk to her about it, which is just something I'll have to do. But just, what the actual holy hell. I don't remember ever even mentioning anyone being godparents to my kid.
Let's discuss wtf moments and how days later I'm still bumfuzzled about this.
Re: Those wtf moments
