No, because our HVAC system isn't great and his room gets above 80 degrees during the day. Right now he naps in his swing downstairs where i can see him anywhere from 1-3 hours at a time, 3-4 times a day. I'll start pushing the issue when its not 95 degrees outside anymore .
DS naps in his pack and play (also where he sleeps) in our room. Though he won't nap for long in there so I usually end up rocking him while he naps so that he'll sleep longer.
My LO sleeps in her pack n play in our room, where she also sleeps at night, for two long naps (2-2.5hrs) and two shorter naps (45-90minutes)
The AC for the part of our house where her room is not working. She's never slept in her crib. We're going to be in trouble when she starts sleeping up there. Or maybe she will surprise us and it will be a smooth easy transition just like it was from the RNP to pack n play.
She is 15 weeks old and also sleeps 11-12 hours straight at night. Sometimes I feel like she sleeps WAY too much, but I guess if she wasn't tired she wouldn't sleep. We have started just Laying her down awake for naps and bedtime and that has gone surprisingly really well! She rarely even fusses. I've found that sometimes she fussing while I hold her and then when I lay her down she just relaxes and goes right to sleep. Talk about a slap in the face, my precious Baby already doesn't want to snuggle
The crib is the only place he will sleep, unless on me. The swing,(regaurdless if it is swinging or not), will wake him up immediately. He likes to lay on his belly and there is a wedge to keep him inclined.
DD naps in her crib anywhere from 45 minutes - 1.5 hours, about 4 times a day. Most naps are 45 minutes, but occasionally she'll throw in a 1.5 hour one randomly just to make us happy.
DS naps in his crib at home, pack n play at grandmas house. He'll usually have 2 short naps (45-60 min) and 2 longer naps (1.5-2 hrs) little boy loves his sleep like mommy and daddy lol
Not yet - she had a couple in there the first couple of weeks, but decided Mommy=best. She's been napping in an oversized chair I sit in after I slip away (no, she can't roll off or smother with the way it is, and I have the video monitor on her too). Next week, my goal is to start the crib for naps at least in the mornings. I've tucked her sleep sack into my pillowcase so it will smell like mom for nap time.
We bed share at night, and the past week's goal has been getting her into bed by 8ish, and then me slipping out of bed for some baby-less time in the evenings. Going well so far!
He takes one nap in the crib in the afternoon for about 3 hours. The rest are either in the front carrier or stroller and only last 45 mins or so. Only because his big sister naps in the afternoon and the rest of the time he has to tag along to her activities.
Yep! He takes all of his naps in the crib if we're home. It's usually four naps that are about two hours each, but they're starting to get a little shorter as I assume he'll start to consolidate a bit.
I'm jealous. My little one naps 4 times for 30 mins each. How do you get them longer? I've tried swaddling, white noise, blackout shades, swing, car rides and none of them extend the time. Anyone else have a short napper? Any ideas for me?
DS naps in his crib twice a day, 45 minutes in the AM and 2 1/2 hours around noon. He usually takes a catnap in his stroller in the late afternoon for 5-10 minutes. He was a short napper until we got him on a regular schedule.

We stick to a pretty specific schedule (not so much as an exact time but rather routine of a cycle) led by his cues. My LO is one of the younger ones on here, so he's just 11 weeks and is still pretty darn sleepy. So if I catch his sleep cues immediately and get him in his crib ASAP, he'll have a nice long nap. If I miss them, he's a bit of a mess and will nap for way less time.
My LO has a big brother who is seven, and has to be "walked" at least twice a day to get his energy out :-) and go swimming at the pond etc. etc. so, LO's naps have been totally different every day. It seems to me that he has figured out that he just grabs them when he can (usually half-hour naps)! In the car seat, in the stroller, in the front pack, in his pack and play, on the boob, on daddy. Yesterday for example he was ready for his nap when it was time for his brother's swim lesson. He woke up at the beach and became engaged and excited to play even though I know he could have kept sleeping. So when we got home he made up for it by taking a looong nap (almost 2 hr), woke up to BF and Play a little, and then I put him down for bed and he was out like a light :-)
